Chalenging and wonderful hiking to Toubkal Sumit. We found Hassan through Trip Advisor and choosed his company based on the reviews. Hassan was very efficient answering all my questions patiently and for booking the trip in advance.

We asked loads of questions to ensure that we were choosing the right trip for us. It was really important to make this hiking with a guide. The other Hassan was our guide, who was very knowledgeable wnd sensitive about the trail and important details to make sure we were safe all the time.

The first day we walked from Imlil to the refuge. After approximately three hours, we stopped to have a nice picnic cooked by the other Hassan (he is the third Hassan that works there...haha), and it was really good. We had healthy food during the all trip, well balanced in terms of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals to provide us with energy and to recover the muscles to
keep walking up each day. It was really important to have a guide this moment, because just started a storm with lightening and thunder, and Hassan started to walk faster to reach a small rock house to go inside and wait for the massive storm to stop. Inside, we had Berber tea to keep us warm while waiting for the storm. On the refuge we had some snacks and dinner in the evening. Also a hot shower and Hassan provided us with an upgrade for a private bedroom (I am sure he will try his best to do the same for you and will get it if its possible).

The second day we woke up early, had a nice breakfast and the other Hassan was ready with the mule and all the luggage to leave. We started walking up early and this day was pretty tough (you do this way only if you do the three days and two nights). We had few strategic stops for eating fruits and drinking water, but Hassan was always keeping a slow pace ,however really consistent to make sure we would get in the base camp in a good time to get beds and organise ourselves. Along the way you have wonderful landscape to admire. We got on the base camp in time to get two beds and a dormitory. We had snacks and tea, went to rest and had a nice dinner in the evening. We organised our luggage and the crampons to bring with us on the next day, and went to sleep.

We woke up early, had a nice breakfast and started to walk up early morning, still dark. Hassan guide was really important during this way. He was always aware of the best way to do. This way is quite hilly and for me that have fear of height, Hassan did a good job. We reached a point where had a lot of snow and so it was time to fit the crampons. It was really windy and Hassan was able to fit the crampons for us safely and efficiently. It would be pretty hard to it by ourselves. We started walking towards the summit. This part was the most challenging for me, specially because I don't have experience in walking up on the snow and it had a part where it was quite narrow and inclined, and Hassan was sensitive to notice that I was a bit scared and came close to me to give important instructions of how to walk and keep me calm, because a mistake in a mountain might be fatal. Because of him I was able to cross that bit and reach the summit. The feeling was incredible, such a relief and feeling of achievement. To come back, Hassan did the same. My wife kept walking first, and he came close to me to control my pace and put his hand in my back to make me feel safe. I couldn't do that if he hadn't helped me.

Thanks Hassans (haha) and all the team for the whole experience and for contributing to us to overcome this challenge.

An excellent trip from start to finish - Hassan was responsive and always happy to answer questions in the lead up to my trip; then when I arrived everything ran smoothly.
I summited Toubkal with the awesome Sabir - who looked after me the whole way, without ever being overbearing. He was just lovely and I don’t think I could have made it to the top without him.
Book with these guys. You won’t regret it.

Hassan organised a perfect 3 day hike and a final day mountain biking ending at the local market! The whole experience was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for it to be better in any way. Great organisation. My guide was Saibir for the full 4 days and he made me feel so welcome and helped me through the various challenges with great English! If thinking of booking go with these guys and ask for Saibir!

Amazing experiences with our amazing guide. Ask around to see who is the best…all roads lead to Toubkal Ascent and the owner Hassan. Very knowledgeable guide. The most authentic experience available in the Atlas Mountains. Definitely the highlight of our trip 🙌
