I'm German guy from Munich contacted Hamid the owner of imlil-trekking in imlil for chort cooking class day excursion, I highly enjoyed the trip and cooking with Hamid,s family.
I will recommend this attraction for all friends I know.

A group of 3 friends and had a day to kill in Marrakech, and we knew that we wanted to head out to see some sights south of the city. We did some research on TripAdvisor and found five tour operators who looked promising, and emailed each of them to see what we might be able to do in regards to a tour the very next day. The folks at Imlil-Trekking got back to us in a matter of hours and were able to arrange a day trip to the Imlil Valley departing the very next morning.

The driver arrived at our riad early and we left from there to Imlil, stopping at a weekly Berber market in a town halfway there. Once we arrived in Imlil, we met with our guide Hamid, who couldn't have been a better guide to the area. A native of a village perched above Imlil, Hamid was kind, knowledgeable and gracious as a guide. We hiked thru the hills above Imili, stopping at a scenic waterfall before hiking to a guesthouse for a delicious lunch. The tour company furnished a mule as well that we took turns riding up and down the hills. As mules are indispensable for transportation and agricultural work in this mountainous region, riding one ourselves was incredibly cool.

The day wouldn't have been as great as it was, however, absent the elxcellent job that Hamid did as a guide. He embodied all of the great characteristics of Berber hospitality, and we left the day knowing far more about the area and its wonderful people than we would have ever imagined.

Imlil Day Trekking
Thanks to our wonderful tour guide Hamid ( Rasheed) we had the most beautiful day trip in the Imlil valley.We just booked last night and the driver was very punctual picking us up at our hotel; our guide was waiting for us and took us up for the most beautiful views; he was very patient and let us hike at our own pace.
We had very tasty lunch awaiting us on the terrace with the best view of the valley with Mt Toubkal in front of us; they had even arranged for very tasty vegetarian food even though we had requested for it at the last minute!
This trek was on of the main highlights of our wonderful stay at Morocco, leaving us longing for another trip soon,We highly recommend trekking with this team!

Wow ... what can I say .. had a wonderful day Cooking Class in Imlil in Local Berber Family. in the beautiful Atlas Mountains...our guide was fantastic .. speaks several languages.. everything was tailored to our needs.. had a delicious lunch prepared at the owners family home .. I'm definitely coming back to do the 3 day hike..

If you want to do one thing .. that you will never forget.. do this ...

Great day trip from Marrakech

We did a one day trek around Imlil, we were picked up from our Riad in Marrakech and dropped off there at the end of the day. We walked for about 2.5 hours before lunch, then Mohamed our guide took us into his home for the most wonderful lunch, we then walked for another 1.5hrs or so. The scenery was stunning, Mohamed was very helpful and easy to talk to, everything was arranged so smoothly, when we finished the trek our car was already waiting to take us back. Would definitely recommend.

Driver Abdul picked is up at 9.00, which was perfectly timed. After, we went to pick up our guide Hamid and an other couple. Abdul drived us to the mountains, where we first experienced a beautiful calm dromedary trip next to a small river. After we went to the mountains, were Hamid guided us trough. Hamid had very good knowlegde, but more important was a very nice guy that liked to make some laughs. The best part of the trip was the prepared lunch in a berber village. The food was great and the view was even greater. Definately recommend to do this trip!

We had amazing experience with Hamid!

What a great look into Morrocan culture! Hamid was very informative and funny and we loved spending our day in the mountains with him.he took loads of Pictures of Us to keep this day on our memory.if you want to have Fun and learn a lot ask fór Hamid.Thank you

Great hike to the berber village of Aroumd. Excellent guide, Abdul. We had lunch at the village. The best part was our chat with Abdul and learning about his life
