IMLIL TREKS TOUBKAL

I had a really great time doing a 4 day hike up to Toubkal and two other peaks with this company. My tour guide Wac Yassin was awesome - he looked after me so well! I was really well fed too.

The tour company also organised a taxi to pick me up in Marrakech and gave me a really good price - would definitely recommend this company if you’re doing a hike in the Atlas Mountains!

We booked a 2-Day Toubkal trek through this agency and it was the best decision we could take. Our guide was Rachid, a certified mountain guide from Imlil that was super professional and speaks perfect english. He was so helpful at all time, giving us a lot of information of the atlas and the berber culture. We were able to reach the summit during December thanks to his good knowledge of the area. I highly recommend to ask for him If you are thinking to trek arround Imlil area!

My partner and I went on a 5-day hike in the Atlas Mountains in February - with Youseff, a guide who had newly joined the company. We spent 4 days going through villages in the Mountains, staying in small guest houses. Then we stayed in the Toubkal refuge and on the last day went up Toubkal and back down to Imlil. Youseff was a great guide – even though some of the route was improvised to account for some heavy snow fall on the route we normally would have been taken on. He seemed to know (and get on very well with) everyone we encountered in the mountains, which was very lovely to see. He was really supportive going up the mountain – he stuck by us the whole way up making sure we were ok and sometimes steadying my partner against the very strong winds.

The places we stayed were comfortable (much more so than we were expecting). We were carrying heavy duty 4-season sleeping bags, which weren’t necessary anywhere we stayed. Most of the food was brilliant. We’re both vegan so not so straightforward to cater for in Morocco. For any other vegans going - it would be good to remind the company just before you go – we discussed it quite far in advance, but this had been forgotten along the way – so it did take a couple of days to get the food properly sorted (we still ate but it was lacking in protein – after that we had some amazing vegan tagines with beans and chickpeas). We were keen to do the trek without mules. Other companies we spoke to said this was impossible. Imlil treks were happy with this plan. It was relatively easy to do this if you’re comfortable carrying a largeish pack (you can leave it at the refuge when you’re actually going up the mountain).

From talking to others at the refuge Imlil Treks were also good value (we paid less than others and had a great experience). Would 100% recommend.

Speaks English well, was super helpful and made us a good price. Our local Guide Lashen was very kind, talkative and good English speaking. He taught us a little bit of Berber and his Berber culture and even invited us into his home for some tea.
Would definitely recommend to book with this agency.

Had a fantastic experience this December, hiking 6 days through the Atlas and finishing up with Mount Toubkal. Ibrahim was the best guide you could wish for: always friendly and knowledgeable. He led us unerringly along tiny goat trails and up mountain passes, knew everyone along the way and all the best guest houses, and always made sure I had enough food and water.

It was an excursión to Atlas Mountain to visit tradicion of the berber people,having a launch tea it was an experience and to ride the dromaders. It was good to pass the day but to go to the Atlas Mountain and what was said about the falls 😄 forger about it.

I loved the place so much, it's the best choice for relaxing.

Excellent trekking even though the Mt Toubkal is shy of 4200 meters. Highly recommend to other hikers. The refugees are excellent with hot water and WiFi. Luv it

For a two-day Toubkal climb we used toubkal-trekking run by Mustapha who was responsive, efficient, a bit expensive but worth every cent. Our guide - Hassan - was professional, attentive, and took care of everything.
Toubkal trekking is old fasioned - they try to provide the best for their customers - and making money comes second. It shows-I would turn to them first for any Maroccan travel issue.
