Imlil Trekking Day Tours

We did a 4-day trekking with Imlil trekking day tours, including climbing Mount Toubkal, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was perfectly organized by Hamid who took all our worries off our hands and was always very responsive and considerate. Our guide Moustafa was highly experienced and a very pleasant person. His brother has provided wonderful meals. The food was extremely fresh, varied and delicious. In short, an unforgettable experience for us and our two sons aged 10 and 13. We highly recommend Imlil trekking day tours!

We had a great time with Hassan. Originally, we took a 3-hour trip from Imlil, through Tamatert then around the valley to Aroumd, where we had a delicious lunch. 4 hours in total with the lunch. We are quite used to walking, so the trek was a bit short for us. Communication was good - english on WhatsApp with Hamid, mostly French and some english with Hassan.

We had so much fun on this tour!!! Thank you hamid for an amazing experience in the mountains! Was excellent fun, well paced and a good distance. The mountains were beautiful and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.

WOW! My husband and I absolutely loved our day hike with Lahcen. He generously shared his extensive knowledge of Imlil and the surrounding mountains and welcomed us to his home for an absolutely delicious lunch. Amazing trek in the Atlas Mountains
We went on a 4 day trek and were looked after wonderfully from start to finish. Abde picked us up from the airport and was more than helpful. Hamid was our guide and couldn't have been more helpful, gentle, kind and caring. Brahim was our cook and I can honestly say that the food was amazing. The food was healthy delicious and there was so much of it!
The walk itself was incredible, amazing views, wonderful people.All in all, a truly magical experience. Thank you so much Imlil Tours, we had a magical experience.

Amazing trip!
It has been a very interesting tour! Our guide hamid was very prepared and always ready to answer to every question we could ask him. He explained a lot about Moroccan life and traditions. Thanks to him we now have a complete and real vision about how people live in Morocco and how everything works there. The landscapes we could have a look at through the valleys were amazing! The lunch in the Berber house was also a cool experience with a lovely view on the third valley and delicious traditional food! It's totally worth! Definitely suggested activity!

The trip to the Altas Mountains was one of the most enjoyable things I did on my trip to Morocco! The trip was well worth the money-- we got to experience so much! The gorgeous views of the mountains became evident as soon we were picked up by the drivers and began our journey to Imlil--the tour guide hamid even had us stop a few times along the way so we could take in the beauty of it all. Once we were there, we got to see a beautiful waterfall and walk throughout some of the villages--we got to our guesthouse in late afternoon and got the opportunity to meet and have tea with some of the locals in the village. The next day, we hiked up a few small peaks and took a few trails to another valley were we spent the night hanging and playing cards with the guide and some locals. On the last day, we again hiked up a few small peaks and eventually made our way back to the drop-off point where we were picked up and driven back to Marrakech by early evening. We ate traditional Moroccan dishes for every meal and they were absolutely delicious--our cook was great! Just as a note, lunch is included in the original pricin, On my trip, I had two tour guides, Hamid and brahim, who were both amazing! They both spoke English very well, were very knowledgeable about the history, geography, and culture of the valleys they were able to answer all my questions, and kept us laughing the entire time! Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend anyone who is looking to do something different and adventurous during their trip to Morocco!

From the speedy response of Hamid to my initial enquiry to the end of the day's hiking everything was top class. Omar is a great guide, interpreting the landscape and local culture for me as we hiked - and a beautiful traditional Berber meal cooked by his mother, eaten in his family home, made this a truly memorable experience.

The whole experience was pretty well organized, and the route offers great views, is interesting and as demanding as it should. Hamid was an excellent tour guide, friendly original and it was a joy watching him interact with the locals. Our trip had quite a bit of rain and you need to be prepared for this scenario and also the cold during night can be a bit challenging but with a spring jacket and some extra clothing you will be good until mid October.. One thing I have to notice is that meals for lunch are extras and all meals are cooked from the guides almost in front of you.

We have just returned from Morrocco and by far the day trip to Imlil with this company and Mr Hameed was AMAZING. The highlight of the few days we were away with breathtaking scenery..

I left this to a bit last minute and after checking these reviews I contacted Mr Hameed the day before and he swiftly arranged a pick up for the next morning from our Hotel in Marrakech. Nothing was too much trouble..

Mr Hameed organised a tour guide JAMAL who spoke perfect English and took us through the route which not many other guides would know of.. up to the waterfall.. and through the beautiful scenery and amazing landscape. A true local lad who was born and raised in Imlil. Friendly chit chat between learning about the history of the Berber villages and people.. If you have a chance ask for Jamal..

The experience was amazing and we stopped in Mr Hameed's village and house where his beautiful family prepared lunch for us and ate authentic Tagine and the freshest food with amazing views of Mount Toukbal! ..A surprise birthday cake and a small gift was given to me and that just goes to show the hospitality of the Berber people..

I cannot express how much of a breath taking experience this is and if you are reading this do not delay and book with Mr Hameed. You will be in safe hands!

We had a fantastic day in Imlil, a short drive into the mountains from Marrakech.
I had contacted imlil-trekking, the day before to see if there was any way we could do a day trip and Momo made it happen and tailored the day to exactly what we were looking for. We spend the day hiking through Imlil, looking out over the valley and the Atlas mountains, it was beautiful! Our guide who took us on the hike was the best and even invited us into his home for tea which was so appreciated! We had a delicious lunch at the end of our hike which was one of the best meals we had while in Morocco and then headed back to the city. It was a perfect way to escape from the city, view the beautiful mountains while not spending the entire day in the car.

7 Days Around Morocco Tours
We did a seven day tour with this company with three small children. Our driver abdoulatif was at the airport before our plane even landed. He was very courteous throughout the entire trip. He is excellent with children. Our kids still talk about him and still ask why we do not see him. It felt like he was part of the family. We had a great time in Morocco, we got to see many of the important sites and spent a night in the desert. I highly recommend this company for your tour in Morocco. If you can be comfortable planning a trip through whattsapp then this is the company for you because everything went smoothly once we got there. Everything was well organized between hamid. the tour company, the hotels, and desert folks. If you get the chance to do a tour in Morocco, give this company a try and of course request hamid. Great little walk around the mountains and insight into local culture!
Good value trip to see some of the countryside outside Marrakech. The stops on the way were good for photos of the views and the little oil production talk was interesting. Didn't feel pushed into buying anything, although did get a souvenir anyway. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, we spoke in both French and English. I don't think we would have been able to learn as much if speaking in just English, but could have discussed most things without a problem. Again there were items for purchase on our walk to see the falls and around the villages, but nothing pushy. The lunch was great, catering for a vegetarian, and our walk back and drive home were fine. Not particularly strenuous for anyone in a somewhat fit shape. Good shoes would help, but not necessary, mine had poor grip, but I managed fine. Very little waiting around compared to what we expected from reviews of group tours. Only criticism is aircon wasn't turned on in the car, but we didn't ask. Overall a good excursion.

From the camel ride to the mountain hike to the beautiful waterfall and delicious food, this is truly a once in a lifetime authentic experience. Our guide was hamid and he is from the Berber town that we visited. He even invited us to his home after lunch for some mint tea with his family. Don't miss this amazing cultural experience!

We had a wonderful time in the village of Aremd with Hamid Our room had two beds. All the employees were very kind and great . The food was amazing . I wish had some of the recipes. We went on a few excursions. One to a Chamharouch and another day to some pass. Both. Trips were wonderful

What a day!
I was all by myself to go on this day trip with guide Omar. Waw, really recommend this to anyone. I am not an experienced walker, but I managed suite well. So beautifull in Imlil.

Our tour guide/driver was exceptional he explained everything and was happy to take questions throughout the journey. He was very kind and bought us wafer twice throughout the day. The other gentleman who helped us along the hike was also very kind, my partner was struggling at certain points of the hike and it was never too much effort for him to help her. I dont know the two gentlemen's names but our tour was on the 13th September and we left at 8am. Would highly recommend this tour.

I did this trip with my wife and three teenage children and it was fantastic from start to finish. We were contacted a couple of days before hand to advise of our collection time from the hotel and we were collected on time. When we arrived at the falls we were met by our knowledgeable guides. The walk down to the falls can be a bit slippy in places so ensure you wear suitable footwear and not flip flops like some of the people in our group! At the bottom of the falls we decided to take the raft across with was well worth the 20MAD as you get take right up to the bottom of the waterfalls. On the walk back up to the top you get the chance to take some pictures with the friendly Barbary apes. Once almost at the top we stopped for some lunch at one of the local restaurants which was a very reasonable 100MAD each for bread, salad, choice of main meal, fruit and as much bottled water as you can drink. Overall an excellent trip and very well organised. Don't be put off by the 3 hour journey each way as the experience is well worth it
