Hotel Riu Tikida Dunas

We stayed as a family of four here for a week in October and the hotel was just so perfect. The beach is right outside the rear gate to the grounds and the private beach area for hotel guests was never at capacity, there is a very smooth and gradual incline into the sea which is great for swimming, surfing and jet skiing. The area was very quiet around the hotel, especially at night and the beach promenade which stretches for a few miles along the coast means long walks are very enjoyable. The staff were all just fantastic, always going the extra mile to make sure that everything was exactly as you liked it, they were all extremely friendly and the entertainment staff around the pool worked very hard to help everyone enjoy themselves with lots of activities if you were feeling energetic. Restaurant staff were also incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was excellent throughout the week whether you went to the main restaurants or the two speciality restaurants and the range of desserts was breathtaking. The pools were always refreshing and you were able to play lots of little games without bothering other guests and securing a sun bed around the pool perimeter was very easy even past 9:30 in the morning. The pool surround and the hotel grounds in general were always immaculately looked after and presented. The rooms are really nicely fitted with lots of space, a balcony, plenty of plug sockets and a beautiful bathroom containing a lovely shower. The weather was beautiful, even as you go into November you are guaranteed clear skies and hot sun during the day and a pleasant evening if you want to sit on one of the outdoor couches after your evening dining. There are quite a few hotels dotted along the beachfront at Agadir but we will definitely be coming back here as it was totally perfect for us and we enjoyed a very blissful holiday.

If you are after a truly relaxing holiday in Morocco, this is it!

Beautiful grounds, a good gym, a good clean indoor pool, and lots of outdoor pools to enjoy. Not to mention a beautiful golden beach to the back of the hotel.

Great places to go in the evening to play pool or listen to bands playing music. There is also a theatre where you can see dance performances etc Once or twice a week the entertainment comes to the bar to put on performances which is lovely.

Food is delicious, service is good, cleaning service and entertainment is excellent, and the general feel is a very upmarket, chilled beach resort.

Just returned from 5 nights on my own at this lovely hotel.
The staff are so friendly from Hamza & Fatima at check in to Badda din ? Part of the animation team. The food was lovely and with plenty of choice during breakfast and lunch. Evening meals were all in lovely settings and again the Asian, Moroccan and l'agadir restaurant all had plenty of choice (Even Yorkshire puddings on the last night which was unusual). Pool towels can be changed daily. Room towels & cleaning is also done daily plus fresh bottles of water. The beds are comfy and the rooms large (Block 5). Megan the TUI rep was great and I'd recommend the cable car & souk which runs Monday and Thursday. Really interesting and the berber house was great for Argan oil products. No hard sell at all and good fun. I'm certainly going to be back

Wonderful hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room great, ours had sea view which was fab. Loved all the little areas to sit and drink or relax. Pools great, although chilly. Food good and quite plenty of different things to choose from. Asian restaurant very nice. Loved the walk on the promenade. Will return.

Great service and location .
A wonderful hotel which is excellent because of the STAFF. They make your stay special from the Chef's, the Waiting staff, the entertainment staff around the pool and not forgetting the professional cleaning team.
The food was excellent, something for everyone 😋.
The only complaint was the grumpy uninterested woman in the Gift shop in the reception area who needs to learn to be nice to the customers 😠

Just spent afew days here between Christmas and New year. A stunning hotel with everything you need , staff cannot do enough for you, plenty of food choice , right next to the beach with stunning views even a kids club should you require it , room was stunning , beds alittle hard . Only slight issue we had was ants finding the tea cups apart from that everything was superb , just alittle shocked to find a fellow guest with husband and child sunbathing topless at a family friendly resort , each to there own but wasn't expecting my children to witness.

Second time stopping here. Can't recommend it enough. Great hotel, comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Plus its January and it's 32 degrees outside.... what's not to like.

Lovely hotel, staff were exceptional, very friendly. The food was brilliant, and hot food was hot, although a buffet. The room was lovely, although the bed was as hard as a rock.. otherwise a lovely location, on the beach.

I visited the Riu Tikida Dunas resort at the end of November 2023. Overall, I would recommend this resort and already can't wait to return to Agadir, Morocco.

The staff at this resort are incredible, and work super hard to make sure guests needs are fulfilled. A real highlight of our holiday was the animation team. I'd like to give a special mention to Anwar and Ibrahim, both of whom are born entertainers! They constantly had us laughing and I'm still in awe of their energy and that they knew all guests by name (thank you so much for giving us a laugh - Mr Rossy and Hannah Montana).

Food and drink selection matched our expectations and the reviews I'd read before going. We really enjoyed breakfast and lunch (I would recommend the omelette station). Dinner food selection wasn't to my taste, if returning I do think I'd try some restaurants near the hotel for increased variety. Alcohol choice is unsurprisingly limited, however the menu is diverse enough to suit all tastes.

Facilities wise, this hotel has everything you could ask for. Bedrooms are a good size, they contain a mini fridge, safety deposit box, bottled water is provided daily and all rooms have balconies. There's no iron in the bedroom, but you can request one from reception for 200 dhm deposit. The swimming pools at the hotel are beautiful (though the water is super cold). The nearest ATM is located outside the Riu Tikida Beach hotel, this is a short walk from the hotel (I found that the ATM had a better exchange rate than the airport). The hotel also contains a gym, spa, has tennis courts where you can pay for private lessons and also offers transfers to golf courses.

In general, Agadir and the area around the hotel felt very safe to visit. We went for a walk every night and always felt safe and secure. Taxis are readily available outside the front of the hotel. There are also some shops available a short walk from out the front of the hotel.

Great holiday, great hotel, would recommend.

I must say we had an amazing time here , feb 2024 , great weather and food and very affordable. One little mention is that they don’t have any sparkling off the all inclusive, happily would have paid extra for some Prosecco or champagne . We have also visited the markets around and I didn’t feel hustled at all . Thank you Agadir and Riu we will definitely come back 🙏❤

The most memorable aspect of my holiday was the Spa... absolutely 💯 Jamila, Moona, and my reflexology treatment was amazing. The staff at the Spa are the best i have ever experienced. Even in Jamaica 🇯🇲 which are disgracefully overpriced. Agadir is the best. . The Spa manager 😍 is lovely. Definitely will be returning in January 2023

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night stay at this hotel in October!

The room was huge and it was cleaned daily. We were also supplied with fresh shower towels and towels for the pool each day.

My girlfriend is coeliac so we were a bit worried about the food before arriving. Hoever, the staff were so helpful and would show her around every meal time to point out what was and wasn't gluten free! They also offered to make her gluten free pasta and pizza at lunch and dinner, and bread and pancakes at breakfast time!

The pool area was lovely and there were plenty of sun loungers available all around the different pools. There was also a private area on the beach which had more chairs. The pool staff were also very helpful in moving chairs and umbrellas for us if we needed.

All of the staff were amazing, especially Ali (in one of the bars), Khadir (the DJ), Yassine (our favourite waiter), and all of the animation team! They all made sure we were well looked after and entertained throughout our stay.

The show put on by the animation team each night was always very good, and we used to follow that up by heading into the karaoke bar for the rest of the evening. The karaoke bar was always good fun, and Khadir made sure to sing a few songs when nobody else would!

We could definitely see ourselves coming back here in the future!

Very nice hotel , great location , amazing animation team, fantastic service in restaurant and bars , I highly recommend it, special greetings to Zineb. Only one bad thing- plastic caps for wine on lunch time.

Brilliant holiday cannot fault the hotel at all, 6 females in total and we all felt completely safe and welcome from the moment we entered the hotel to the moment we left. The animation team were outstanding, full of energy and super engaging with the guests making each individual feel the holiday was personal to them. The evening entertainment was always fun to watch great way to end the day. The daily activities were full of variation and offered opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Restaurants were amazing as a group of 6 including vegetarians we were never short on food. Not once in the holiday did anyone have to revert to the standard pasta and fries combo you get in my all inclusive hotels. The food was to a high standard all day everyday and the restaurant staff were polite, friendly and engaged with the guests.
The housekeeping team deserve so much credit and were super polite throughout our whole stay.

Definitely recommend this hotel and we all look forward to our next stay.

Went on a weeks all inclusive holiday to Agadir. The resort is immaculate. The rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade, especially the special needs rooms 2001 onwards but we managed. The staff from reception, to the cleaners were exemplary . The chefs and waiters were brilliant especially hicham who always greeted up with a smile and went out if his way to get us drinks. The pool cleaners/staff especially mohammed was very helpful and was always at hand to support especially with our disabled son. The security personnel, Waheel and the young girl whose name I can’t recall were also brilliant. Finally credit goes to Carlos who runs a very good operation, and is regarded highly and respected by his staff which is a great combination in running a resort.. Carlos was very approachable and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him. Will certainly book again.

The whole complex is very well taken care of, the staff is in general very nice and friendly, everyone speaks English, the food at all the restaurants is amazing every single time, the pools are huge and super nice, the entertainment team is great - they put up a fun show every night (shout-out to Anwar!). We have no major complaints, so we absolutely recommend this resort 100%!!
