Tree House Cafe Ella

We have tried Annasi bath rice curry. It was absolutely amazing dish! Full of flavor, not spicy, very exotic. Perfect meal.
We even have come back other day to eat it again.

Lovely little cafe build in tree house style above a hostel. Very affordable rotis and drinks. Beautiful views and wonderful staff who are very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit!

Wow wow wow! Just a perfect place to have a few nights near Ella! Damith is really friendly and offers excellent service. The food is traditionally and fresh cooked only for us! Beautiful view with some monkeys visiting. We just loved it and will definitely come back!

Tree House Café/Hostel is an amazing place in the mountains of Ella. It is very close to the train station but still a bit off the beaten track with excellent view over the mountains so it has the perfect location. Praneed is the best host you could ever imagine, he will help you out with anything you ask him for. He organised a scooter for me & I lost the key in a monastery, one call & he picked me up there in the middle of the night. Also he offers super affordable dinner with excellent quality. 10/10 recommend!

I like everything here. Cozy decoration, clean room, amazing view, convenient location, good food and the host is super kind. This is the best place I have stayed through my trip in Sri Lanka.

I loved everything about this hostel. The owners are so lovely, kinda and always will to help or give advice. He is also very artistic and built the place and all the fittings by himself. The location is fantastic- feels like your in a remote location because of the surroundings but it's only 300m to the train station and to town. Did I mention how delicious the breakfast is. He is also accomodating to different eating times.

I needed to get some work done and was a great place to focus and relax!

We had such a great time in this hostel. A time to land and enjoy. We slept in a tent in the tree-house which felt like our own cozy place. It was very clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was super tasty every day. Also vegan, gluten free, not spicy was all perfectly adjusted. All together a warm stay for us in Ella.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in the tent. We had an amazing time. The owned is super friendly and kind and over delivers in every way. The breakfast is tasty and made with a lot of love. We have been traveling for around 4 months through India, Nepal and Srilanka and at this place we experienced the best hospitality. If you look for a place to stay in Ella, you found your place ;)

The room and common areas are very nice and cozy! The place is in a good location since from the balcony of the common areas you can see beautiful views. We received excellent and very hospitable treatment, the breakfasts were very good as well as being varied. Thank you for your hospitality, without a doubt we would repeat it :)

We stayed 4 nights at Treehouse and loved it! It’s a combined space of hostel, cafe and tattoostudio and such a nice place to hang out.
The owner of the hostel is an amazing cook and made delicious Sri Lankan breakfast every morning. The hostel is close to the Railway station and the city but also far enough from the busy main road so it’s not too noisy.
We really enjoyed our stay and would come back :)

Perfect little hostel and restaurant. The food is delicious and the place has an incredible view of the city, it’s a perfect spot for sunsets. The location is also very convenient to go to the 9 arches and Ella rock by walk.

Besides their rooms, the host was amazing including huge breakfasts. He cleans the facilities from the morning till the evening, everyday. I will definitely come back this place.

Best hostel to stay in ella. The people there are so kind and generous. They take care of you so well. Worth every rupee you spend.

I love this place, 4 stories building with a nice view. The host is soo friendly and helpful. And the food (breakfast) is very good for a reasonable price.
