Royal Mountain Edge,Knuckles

We visited this place in January 2024. The view of the place is amazing.
The road leading there is quite bad, but the owner has taken us using the pickup truck.
The owner and his family take great care about their guests. The food they make very good, using their own grown organic vegetables and herbs.

It is a very beautiful place to spend the time. The owner is very friendly and the cook is very kind and they always try to give the best service to the customers. The food is prepared without adding any flavoring whatsoever. Also the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

One of the best day out in my life. Relaxing environment with interesting view all around the place. One of the best place to look over knuckles mountain range. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious foods from fresh vegetables grown in own land. Love it ♥

Excellent customer service. The food was delicious. We went on a hike with a tracker provided by the owner of this place. Really friendly. There are four cabins with one common bathroom. Rooms are specious. Great deal for hikes.

Knuckles mountain range, also known as Dumbara hills is located in the Central province of Sri Lanka, in the two districts Matale and Kandy. The story behind the name given to this mountain range is very interesting since it has been named as 'Knuckles' due to the fact that the hills resemble the knuckles of a clenched fist. There are nine peaks in this mountain range and they are over 1200 metres in height.
Containing an immeasurable aesthetic value, abundant with mist and floating clouds above the top of the hills, the mountain range also contains a scientific value with its rich biodiversity. It has been surveyed that more than 34% of the country's endemic trees, shrubs and herbs can only be found in this area. Knuckles conservation forest was also included in the world heritage list presented by UNESCO in 2010 as a part of the central highlands- Sri Lanka.

The best thing about this place is the customer service & foods. No artificial favors or colors within foods. Owner is very friendly and he is always try to give the best service to the customers. And also rooms are very clean & comfortable. I will give 5star ratings & recommend for all...

A good place to visit nice viewpoints. Good and delicious foods, good customer service reasonable price. Good for those who are interested on hiking.

We had an amazing stay here! Beautiful quiet location in the mountains, comfortable beds and the owner is lovely. He dug up potatoes from his organic garden and cooked us a delicious curry with them for dinner. Sunrise and breakfast was also a treat! Stay here if you get a chance

A Very quiet and beautiful place . The evening sky is spectacular. The host Mr. Indu is a very friendly gentleman and knows well about the surroundings. His tips were very helpful. The food is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I shal definitely visit again.

An ideal retrieval from the busy life in the town. Full of greenery with the awesome view of mountains along with the cool breeze. Natural stream bath with tickling fish therapy. In addition to all the above, uncomparable ,taste of village quinine. The warmth of the bon 🔥 coupled with delicious barbecue will definitely leave you with a holiday you dreamt in your dreams!

Words can't describe the view you wake up to from here. Nestled in the hills with spectacular scenery, hugely friendly hosts and delicious food. Stopped here before ascending the Knuckles Mountains the next day and my experience here was almost as good as at the top of the mountain!
On another note I was after the authentic experience and they put me to work digging up potatoes and then joined them for a bottle of Arrack that evening! Some of the best hosts I had on my month in Sri Lanka and by far the best morning view!

The customer service & food is at the highest level along with a reasonable price, fabulous viewpoint around the location. The place is very clean & comfortable. And also the owner is very friendly, he is always trying to give the best service to the customers. So I highly recommend this nice place for all who are willing to enjoy nature.
