Knuckles Base Camp

During our 2-day hiking tour through the Knuckles Mountain Range, we spent one night at the Knuckles Basecamp. The location is peaceful, surrounded by forest. The hosts warmly welcomed us and they were very friendly and attentive. The food, especially the breakfast, was delicious with fresh fruits. In the evening, there was a campfire where we cozily sipped our tea and chatted. I really enjoyed my stay there!

It's a really beautiful location. Their service is excellent and very professional as well.

It's an amazing place where you can stay close to nature. Very calm place. The owner is also friendly. The price is fair and you can get your meals cooked by the in house chef. Amazing place to visit.

The food, place, bathrooms and service were all very good.
The owner (Diksan) and the staff are really friendly (especially Wasantha). They even let us pitch our own tents inside their premises. They also arranged us a couple of hikes/ treks in the forest range.

Great 2 days 1 night trek in Knuckles range with our awesome guide Ravi! He has eagle-eyes, a good command of English, humor and he knows his fauna & flora. The trek was beautiful - even on a more misty day - full of birds and animals.

The tents at basecamp are nothing fancy but clean with a decent matras. The climate is refreshingly cool in the evening (bring a jumper).

Beautiful Place in Knuckles Mountain Range. Situated in Rangala. Access only for four wheel jeeps. Others have to park at rangala international buddhist center and go by foot. Owner have a jeep. If you call early he come and pick you. Food and service very good. You can go Knuckles peak and Kotaganga ella from here. Great place

I spent here one night.. The staff was kind and fun, the food (dinner and breakfast) was great, the facilities were functional and pleasant and the atmosphere in total was super! It’s a really nice place to stay the night in the ‘wild’.

Great place for accomadation. who are visiting to knuckles mountain range they can staing there. and i stayed there with my friends then we continue several defferant trekking tours from there. honestly i reccomond that place. there are arranging what we need activities to do well. go there and enjoy that nature and quite beautifull place.

We had a stay here for a night. It was awesome. The guy there Dickson treated us very nice. The atmosphere was soo cool and was covered with mist at night. Very nice scenerys on the way to the top

Pleasant Stay!!
The on-site restaurant offers a good range of dishes which we found were nicely cooked with good service. BBQ , camp fire , onsite washroom facilities were great!!

We stayed for 2 nights and loved it ! The place is super nice and the food was superb. The tour through the knuckles was fantastic. Highly recommended for anybody looking for an adventure

Very well organized place and activities.
Guide is friendly. Stay for few days and complete all hiking that can be arranged by camp.

One of the coolest places to spend a night or two, with wonderful views and beautiful trekking or hiking, offers some pre civilisation customs in the form of no electricity (Solar powered lights provided) no internet no mobile hence no headache!

Diksan just rolls like a king and the experience here is just amazing. If you're a true outdoors person, take a visit and witness the rustic charm
