Gamaksan Suspension Bridge

A bit of a hike but the path has a rug type path made of rope that means it’s not slippery and the stairs have ropes on the side to hold on to. Pretty easy to get up and down. The bridge itself is beautiful and doesn’t feel flimsy or unsafe at all. Definitely worth a visit.

A great experience to walk across the bridge, it’s a lot longer and higher than it seems in the photos.
It can get very busy when the tour bus arrives with lots of tourists, but we still managed to get some good photos.

Worth the side trip! 15min stairway "hike" to the bridge. Don't miss the great views from the observatory a few minutes walk past the bridge. There is also a waterfall on the other side of the bridge, just 10min walk.

The place is beautiful but you will have to hike via stairs…I went there after DMZ tour and it was so tiring and had no energy to walk up to the top….but it was worth it 😀

We went there on a tour (part of the DMZ Tour booked on Klook). There is a hike to go up to the bridge, around 10-15mins. This can be steep and uneven, so take caution for elderly travellers.
The view was great and had some great photo opportunities

I very much enjoyed my DMZ Tour with PLK Travel that included Gamaksan Suspension Bridge. It's a nice and easy hike that allows you to admire some nature just outside of Seoul. DMZ Tour is a must if you have an extra day in Seoul and want to see a few unique places. Fully recommended!

Amazing place! Was here in the summer and the view is fantastic. Everything is so lush and green.
The bridge swings a bit but it's not very high up from the ground so it didn't feel scary.

A once in a lifetime experience, a must see if you are visiting South Korea!

Beautiful place. You need to take a few steep steps to get to the suspension bridge. Everything is well prepared to suit everyone except the weaklings. Walking over the bridge is not for the faint hearted especially on a windy day. For the sporty ones, theres a few hours of mountain hiking to the summit. You can choose the trails based on your strength. Some challenging ones. Also pick your returning trail carefully so not to end up on the other side of the mountain on your way back.

The bridge felt very safe and secure. There's a good hike to get there and if you go a little further past the bridge, you can see a small waterfall.

This is an amazing experience. The bridge did rock and bounce, but not as much as I expected. You need to be in decent shape, as the hike up to the bridge can be steep.

Everyone on the bridge was kind to one another, and often asked to take pictures with you. We spoke enough Korean and they spoke enough English to enjoy the moments and embrace each other as family. The views are beautiful and the people and culture of Korea are the best memories of my entire life!!

Amazingly gorgeous! The road going there is also as spectacular!

This was a worthwhile visit. Lovely views, and around 300m past the bride is a nice little waterfall. Walking tracks are well maintained with little displays along the way.
Hike is all uphill, wear good shoes and if its hot, take water

To the surprise, there were quite a lot of people going here last Sunday. I was lucky to b able to park my car at the first parking lot. Near the stairs that we have to go through in order to get to the shaking bridge. Stairs were quite steep, watch out ur knee! After arriving at the shaking bridge, you can continue to go to 법륜사 temple or even go to the top of the gamaksan mountain. I chose to go the temple and went straight back home
