Jihaeng Station

Jihaeng Station in Dongducheon City is relatively new. It has lots of green spaces. My favourite is the nature trail that starts south of the station and ends just shy of Dongducheon Jungang. There are many options on this trail. Walk through the trees over a nature trail, walk on a windy path with trees on both sides or on a leafy flat promenade area. This promenade also has seats, swings, and a clay pit walking area. For those on the move you can power walk in a dedicated track or ride your bike. It us an amazing space.

We went to Jihaeng to get some food nearby the station. Suddenly, my train card was having a problem. It said I've scanned the card but I cannot go out, the alarm was ringing (just like when you wanna run away without paying).

So, we went to the station room and the lady staff came and helped us to go through the gate safely. She doesn't speak English, we used translator to communicate with her but she understood well, super helpful, fast, and friendly! ❤

I don't care much about the station but this is the stop for food. There's so much and it's all really really good.

Love the local area. Not many bars, but great for places and the best Korean BBQ I've had since I've been here. And one of the restaurants have duck! Yum!

For those stationed at Casey, this little town is actually pretty nice and has everything. If you walk from the station through all the businesses, there is a park that runs all along that road. If you're tire of the Juicy bars...go to Jihaeng for an actual Korean experience.

Great station. Lots of stairs. Dont take the elevator, unless your actually handicapped. (Not the American kind, like really cant get around handicapped) because its rude. Also dont be loud in public. Its rude. Remember your manners please.

On time, affordable, safe, clean. What else could I said about Jihaeng Station. If you don’t get it ask, Koreans are the most wonderful, kind, helpful people in the world the bend over and backwards to anyone who asks for help.

Beautiful small city with great restaurants. Easy access off the train to the heart of the city. You can enjoy Korean nightlife in the north country.
