Daecheon Beach

One of the longest beaches that have seen in Korea till now and one of the most beautiful.
The energy at the place is just amazing. Lots of activities to choose from, there are water sports available, sky biking, swimming, and what better than chilling on the beach.
Unlike the east coast the water in the west coast is warm which makes it apt to enjoy.
The place has paid shower rooms as well.
Lots of hotels just at the edge of the beach and 2 streets with only food, food and food.
We had gone during the mud festival and the energy at the place was amazing.

The beach is really beautiful and the waters are warm.
Besides the views and maybe some bit of swimming there are some boats for hire going for around 30k wons per person. Its surely one of the beautiful beaches in Chungcheongnam province.

Really great. Not busy at all in winter. Very cold but the outdoor ice skating nearby is a great use of the space near the beach. Easy access to drive up close to the beach. In summer i imagine it would be very crowded due to the mud festival tourists. Nice and simple. Good long beach.

Loved to visit this beach while a I was doing a Summer School in South Korea. It can be quite loud if the Mud Festival is going on.. but it's worth the visit. There are many restaurants around to eat fresh seafood for example. :) the beach is beautiful!

Nice. Visited here for Boryeong Festival. Just so many people and some restaurants were quite pricey. If you dont eat seafood, youll have a hard time looking for a restaurant because they all serve clams. Overall we enjoyed the beach, definitely not the best but it was fun. Awesome fireworks display show and a fun kpop concert.

Beautiful my family loved it. The water was clean and warm, the sand had no trash we will come back for sure.

Dacheon Beach during the late Spring month of May is very quiet and hardly no outside traffic. The hotels are very reasonable including hotels over looking the beach. It is good to bring a semi light jacket to enjoy the cool evenings. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy. The sunsets are breath taking. There is plenty of space for a walk around the beach

Summer vacation 😎

I went there during mud festival, it was really awesome. The beach is awesome. Mud fest was tue grand attraction. Other than that, there was a korean fighter jets stunt air show in the morning 11 am that was outstanding. DJ music for dancing at beach. Water biking. So many sea facing hotels.

A great place to visit in Korea

This place was great! We were able to see alot of things around the area and they have lots of food. If you love seafood, this is the place for you. This beach was great and we had fun.

This beach is one of the cleanest I would say in korea on the west coast. The sand is amazing and at times you can even find sea glass for keep sakes. Tons of restaurants near by from korean bbq to chicken to sea food. There are also a lot of activities you can do like the rail bikes, atv, camping, and a boat ride.

Lovely beach. Visited again after 20 years since my first visit.
