I am truly shocked that such an establishment can be open 24/7!
Came here at 1 AM on a Tuesday night, the place was still half full, mostly of locals, we were the only tourists there.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, super convenient ordering ipad with multiple languages and pictures.
The sushi is high quality and fairly priced. Tuna is their specialty but everything is delicious.

Came here at 6am and surprised to find the restaurant 80% full, not just tourists but many locals as well. We had the fried oysters, grilled clams, 3 kinds of tuna. Food was so fresh. Best grilled clams I've ever had. Very reasonable pricing.

The sushi and sashimi were all so fresh and delicious. And the staff members were efficient and friendly. Pleasantly stumbled upon this 24/7 sushi restaurant and chain when we arrived in Tokyo around midnight. My favourite was the various torched sushi.

My all time favourite Sushi in Tokyo since 2006.

The service is military precision. All the counter chefs are super friendly and the waiting staff are very efficient to get you seated. I usually come early morning or later afternoon and do not need to queue. You will enjoy the experience more without the 1 hour wait.

80% of my orders are simply KAMATORO or super fatty tuna. Nothing else. I have tried most of the menu items there for many years but I come here for the tuna. Portions are generous enough based on the current inflation situation and the cuts are super succulent and melt in your mouth.

Just come here and do not waste your precious time in Tokyo

Excellent experience, everything is well done. The sushi is very fresh, it really tastes different compared to other restaurants that are not fresh enough. They are on promotions for Tuna sushi which is very attractive. Definitely worth coming again when visiting Tokyo.

Sushizanmai Main Branch at Tsukiji offers a lively and bustling atmosphere, even late at night. The restaurant has a traditional Japanese décor, creating an authentic sushi dining experience. Despite the late hour, the restaurant was full of energy, with chefs working diligently behind the counter and customers enjoying their meals.

The sushi at Sushizanmai is top-notch. We tried a variety of sushi, including fresh prawn, salmon rolls, and some specialty cuts of fish. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and each piece of sushi was meticulously prepared. The flavors were vibrant, and the rice was perfectly seasoned, complementing the fresh fish.

The prawn sushi was succulent and tender, with a subtle sweetness that highlighted the freshness of the seafood.

The salmon rolls were delicious, with a perfect balance of fish and rice. The rolls were tightly packed and easy to eat.

The steamed egg custard (chawanmushi) was a delightful addition, creamy and smooth with flavorful ingredients like mushrooms and fish roe.

The specialty sushi pieces were a highlight, with rich and buttery textures that melted in the mouth. Each piece was garnished with fresh herbs and sauces that elevated the flavors.

The service at Sushizanmai was efficient and friendly. Despite being a busy time, the staff were attentive and quick to respond to our needs. The chefs were also very engaging, making the dining experience more enjoyable.

Sushizanmai offers excellent value for the quality of sushi provided. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. For a 24-hour sushi restaurant, the freshness and quality of the food were impressive.

Sushizanmai Main Branch at Tsukiji is a fantastic choice for sushi lovers at any hour. The combination of fresh, high-quality sushi, a vibrant atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a must-visit spot in Tokyo. Whether you're a local or a tourist, dining at Sushizanmai promises an unforgettable experience, especially if you're looking for a late-night sushi fix.

Possibly the best sushi I have ever had. Easy to order in English on tablet. Great anytime of the day. Plenty of seating.

Great place for sushi first thing in the morning. English menu available, but the regular menu has pictures you can point to. The quality of sushi is high and the service is friendly and fast.

Sushi quality was great - must try toro. They may try to sell you whale sashimi, we tried it but didn’t like it as much as the other dishes

Nice place to have sushi. I love the Tuna Sushi set, especially the Ootoro(Fatty Tuna). There's even the option for Kamatoro which is the fatty part of the Tuna from the gills, ordered separately from the Tuna Sushi set...

Fresh fish 24 hours / day
There is a queue in front of the entrance every day. Fortunately, it’s doesn’t take very much time - the restaurant has 2 floors with tables and seats on the counter. Very fresh fish. Smiley and welcoming staff.

Our favourite sushi restaurant whenever we visit tokyo. Never disappointing on the food quality. You will need to go early and sometime need to wait for your turn.

After walking around Tsukiji market for a while and eating small bites, we decided to stop by here to sit and eat a more full breakfast. We came by around 10am on a Monday and there wasn’t too long of a wait (maybe 15 minutes) since there is plenty of seating inside. We were served hot green tea right when we sat down which was perfect for the cold day! The ordering here is done on an iPad which is super helpful as we could change the language to English and take our time looking through everything on the menu. Then the order gets sent directly to the chefs and you can add more to your order on the iPad after as well. They offer a lot of different set sushi platters or chefs selection sushi plates, but we opted to just choose pieces of nigiri we were most excited about. You can also select if you want wasabi or not when adding to your cart, which was great. We sat at the sushi bar so we got to watch the chefs make our nigiri and all the other sushi and bowls, which was so cool to see.

Every single piece of fish here was so fresh and delicious. My personal favorites were the medium fatty tuna (chu-toro) which had perfect texture and the shrimp which was so melty and sweet, but everything was amazing. It was also extremely affordable for the quality. We had already been eating all morning so we just got 11 pieces(the uni nigiris being the most expensive), but it ended up being around $30 USD.

Highly recommend this spot, it was delicious, clean, and easy to navigate even if you don’t speak Japanese!

The restaurant is located in the Tsujiki Market area and is what I believe the main outlet of this popular franchise (or at least the more popular choice). This outlet is open 24 hours and there was a steady influx of customers from 7-10pm. When we arrived at 7.30pm we waited for around 30 minutes for our table. The clientele is a mix of local and tourists and it was easy enough for us to communicate with most members of staff there. Ordering was done via a tablet device so every dish had a picture which made it easier to visualise what you were ordering. Try getting a table at the sushi counter to see the action and feel the buzz. Definitely an experience. Great variety of dishes which were all fresh. Also find the prices in general for Tokyo very affordable. Recommended to give this a try!

Absolutely amazing. It was the best sushi we've ever had! The sushi chefs there are true Masters in their art. Highly recommend the combos, particularly the deluxe one. Each plate offers a range of tastes and textures, some of which were completely new to us (and probably most Americans). We went back twice and each time we were so impressed. Highly recommend!

Nice and welcoming service. They have an IPad to order on if you’re not Japanese.

Visited this place for a second time on separate trips to Tokyo. The ingredient is very fresh. The Otoro is a must try, probably the best fatty tuna you can find.

A lot of locals come here, but this place is also very tourist friendly. As they have a tablet that has multiple languages you can choose from to do your ordering.

Another bonus is that this place opens 24hours. So you can come anytime during your trip. Just be mindful of the subway operational hours.

There is generally a line, but I highly recommend it. It is worth the wait.
