This hidden gem in Ginza offers great tasty Italian dishes at an affordable price.

Came for dinner and ate from the set menu which is a 4 course menu.

Each course came promptly and was super tasty. I had a risotto as my main and also tried the pesto pasta. Courses included a salad, smoked salmon appetizer, cod in a wonderful sauce and a pound cake and ice-cream for dessert.

This restaurant is in the basement of the building. Service was impeccable and friendly. The owner was super nice and welcomed us warmly.

Everything I had was superb and comparable to the finest Italian food I’ve had in Italy but with even better service. When you’re in Tokyo, don’t miss this excellent restaurant.

If you want an authentic Italian dining experience in the heart of Ginza, please visit Il Ponentino! This is the best Italian dining experience I have had outside of my time in Italy. The restaurant is an informal trattoria with warm colors and lots of charm. Our family had so much fun sampling different antipasti, primo piatto (first pasta course), second course (meat and fish), salads and other side dishes. The dolce (dessert) was heavenly and consisted of tiramisu, custard, and rum baba. Everything was delicious and perfectly presented. The next time I visit Ginza, I will certainly visit this Italian gem in the heart of bustling Ginza. My family had such a great time at Il Ponentino! Grazie!

This restaurant is quietly tucked away downstairs but packs a huge punch. We went for lunch and the lasagna was a top tier lasagna. I'm not an anchovy fan, but the chicken Arrabbiata was also fantastic.

Truly a meal we are very happy that we didn't miss during a trip.

Such a unique presentation of Italian food with a Japanese twist. The set course dinner was creative, well-presented, and fantastically delicious, the portions were plenty but not over the top, and it was just excellent all around. The thing that made this a 5 star restaurant was the absolutely incredible service from the waitstaff. The ambience was very charming and you can tell they put a lot of effort into adding authentic Italian details.

If you don't already know of this restaurant, you will miss it as it's located on a basement. Going down the stairs and entering the place, the ambient will greet you. The servers are attentive. The toilet ( I don't know if this is the standard of restaurants here in Tokyo) are complete with mouthwash. This is really a place to go out and dine (on a date). I had scallops and pasta with lobster, both are great!!
I will surely go back and try other food from their menu...

Lasagna was one of the best I had in recent times. Lunch menu had salad, a small desert and drinks. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Staff were very kind and the ambience is good. They serve the best spaghetti bolognese I've ever had.

Went to have dinner, although we feard atmosphere to be unpleasant it was beautiful experience. The staff were welcoming and understood the Muslim preferences. We appreciated the kindness. Thank you.

I found Il Ponentino staying at nearby Marriott Courtyard. Nice ambience, owner/manager very friendly and helpful, food is very good quality Italian, prices are reasonable for Ginza. I enjoyed some much I went back a couple of times while working 2 weeks in Tokyo.

I have been to Italy a few times and the pasta was perfectly prepared al dente. The menu selection was outstanding and we sampled many of the menu items. All of the dishes we tasted were excellent. The dessert was beautifully presented and was delicious. I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and I am never disappointed. It is conveniently located in Ginza and down the block from Hotel Gracery Ginza.

Never disappointed here! If you want good pasta in Ginza look no further. Lunch menu has a long list of pasta that anyone would be satisfied by, coffee is good, bread tastes great!

Very lovely restaurant with fantastic food. I went there for their tasting course which had a great variety of different types of food which were all exquisite. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a top quality Italian restaurant.

We entered the restaurant expecting the worst. We simply just wanted plain cheese and pepperoni pizza and spaghetti bolognese for our sons who are extremely fussy eaters. It is damn hard to find in Japan! Needless to say I was blown away by the food and the service. Almost 100% custom made pizza and spaghetti that was delicious. We also ordered the Caesar salad(or equivalent), fresh produce, crisp and crunchy lettuce, croutons etc. On the house was thick garlic bread and unique bread with seaweed. The food was made within 10mins. Could not be happier. Bellisimo.

Run by a very kind man with fluent English, this is a great escape. Downstairs away from the great Tokyo berserk, you could be in any Italian restaurant anywhere in the world. Great value too.

Fantastic Italian food. The boss and most of the waiters speak good English. Welcoming, quick and pretty cheap for this part of Tokyo.
