A must visit place for us.
Visited Niseko many times and we never skipped Lucky Supermarket once.

Big and well stocked supermarket.
They have A5 Wagyu.
Condiments, sauces for wagyu displayed along with wagyu, very easy to find everything u need to buy to cook certain dish.
Example u want to cook beef sukiyaki, they displayed sukiyaki sauce above the fridge where the meats for sukiyaki are. Just grab them both and u are ready for sukiyaki meal.
Highly recommended A5 wagyu.
Price is reasonable, have yourself enough wagyu when in Japan.
Arrays of fresh seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables.
Ah dont forget to try white strawberries when its in season, you will love it.

They also have some cakes, cookies, pudding for souvenirs.
Liquor and drinks aisle are huge.
Wide selections of dairy and frozen foods.

They even have bakery, FAMIMA.
Grab yourself some freshly baked bread before u head home.

Next to the bakery, you can see CAN DO.
Its ¥100 shop.
Everything there is literally ¥100 each.
If u forget something and needed to buy one, this is the place. They basically have almost everything.
Clothing to stationeries.
Tops bottom Socks are very cheap here.
Good quality, not shady at all.
Impressive to find these value for money clothing in Japan. I cant even find them in developing country like mine.
Must buy (if u dont have any yet) ski jacket at very affordable prices.
Same price like rental daily.
Might as well get yourself one here.
Thermal wear too. Very good price.

Last but not the least, carrying all your shopping items, you need a taxi to get back, there's a free phone to call for taxi.
Best thing is, the operator speak English.
So you are safe!
We always take bus to go Lucky and come back with taxi. From hirafu intersection, bus fare is ¥400 per person. Taxi cost about ¥3.000.

Too bad there is no pharmacy in Lucky.
Need to walk bout 700-800 meter to reach Sapporo Drug store.

Good sized grocery store. Lots of to-go food options. There is an in-house bakery with lots of fresh bakery items including sandwiches. Sells clothing and various items, limited souvenirs. There is an area to sit and eat, free WiFi. Clean restrooms.

Very much worth the drive from Niseko to Kutchan for this experience. Superb selection, great fish as you’d expect, from fish in a bucket to ready made sushi; much cheaper than smaller resort supermarkets. Life changing experience. 10/10.

The one and only we have seen in Hakkaido, they sell many items and some are very reasonably priced. Items such as daily essentials are plentiful. We were on way to Lake Toya and happened to chance upon this place when it was already close to closing hours. Great service by staffs and being the last car to leave that new night, I was even sent off after shopping by a staff who bowed when we left - even when we may have held up their closing by a few minutes. Great customer service! Great place with good variety of grocery!

Tidy and bright store, among the 3 supermarkets in town. Good balance of being a local produce supermarket while stocking a lot of imported options for those that miss home fare. A little (very small margin) pricier compared to the other 2 supermarket in town but if you are holding one of the discount cards from various accommodation providers, you get a 5% discount for most good. The complex hosts a bakery, 100-yen store, clothes store and serviced laundry under the same roof.

It's always a good time shopping at Lucky, in my opinion they have the best fruit and vegetable selection in Kutchan. Staff are friendly and helpful and you can use your Locals card to get 5% discount. They often have some food trucks at the entrance for a delicious snack, but if not then the bakery has a nice selection and there are a lot of options for hot and cold bentos.

Take this 5 star rating as you will

And background, I was a tourist from another country, so possibly not the normal visitor to a supermarket

So, if you are on holidays skiing in Niseko, and the pow is taking a day off, definitely come to Kutchan, and while you are here, visit lucky

I actually recommend lucky for lunch. Much of the restaurant area opens in the afternoon and evening, but lunch at lucky can be great

The first ... And last... Thing you will notice is "the song" if you don't find it maddening, you may grow to really like it, and it may make you smile when you remember it, long after your holiday is over

As a supermarket it has everything you need (or forgot to bring on holidays) starting with a 100yen department. I was there mainly for old, where it has ready to eat hot and cold food, it it a super market with preprepaired sushi which would be exception sushi other places in the world. It has a great little bakery. It also 90% prepared meals for dishes like shabushabu, such that if you can boil water, you can make a great meal at home. Great fresh food, like seafood and fruit, and of course general supermarket fair.

It also has seating at the front, with a microwave for you to heat anything you bought up, so again, it gets my lunch recommendation

But also if you are a tourist, this is a delightful look at how another country/culture can be "same same but different" so walk around this supermarket wide-eyed and "a lucky day to you"

Unexpectedly great place to restock for our trip to lake toya from sapporo. Has a lot of foreigner friendly signage to identify products, and much more reasonable prices for local seafood/produce compared to tourist traps in sapporo. The place also seem to be teeming with parents with young kids, so there are kid friendly push carts and toilet facilities to boot.

New in 2016 well lit and spacious supermarket. Lots of goods including foreign imports. Nice seating area and free WiFi. Always English speaking staff available and English translations on the shelves. Best in town.

Lucky is big. It's divided into two, one sells household items and clothes the other sells groceries. Most things in the household part is sold for ¥100. There are categories of household items, it can help to know that they're written in both English and Japanese. The grocery store has nothing written in English going by my experience shopping there. They do not have staff that speak English so you're a little bit out of luck here unless you know exactly what you want to buy.
They sell all sorts of things, Western, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Worth the trip from Hirafu if you have a family to feed during your holiday. Reasonably priced sushi and fish . If you go towards the evening (i was there at 5pm) a lot of the fresh items (sushi, sashimi etc) was on discount. Great place to buy other grocery items at a good price such as matcha, snacks and milk products. About 15 minutes walk to Kutchan Train station where the bus terminal is also there. Easier to catch buses here to go back to Hirafu as all the buses start from this point.

Awesome supermarket wth plenty of information for English speakers. Clean, organized, lots of prepared foods as well as retake produce, fish and meats. There is a 100 yen store here, too.
