MaxValu Kutchan Shop

Huge supermarket with a great selection of anything you'd need. They're open quite late, until 11:00PM which is nice if you're heading out for a night time supply run. Massive parking lot so there's no worry of not finding a parking space. One of my favorite sections is the section with the pre-packaged appetizers and salads. A huge refrigerator with any combination of foods you'd want, from burdock root salads to tofu and macaroni salads, you'll find it all here. They also had a great selection of both regular and premium beef and of course we had to get both. Sushi grade seafood was also on sale and those are a must buy. They also had an extensive bread and jam section as well as tons of instant noodles. A must visit if you're in the area!

Well stocked - fresh produce and found everything we need (food to cook and ready to eat food, snacks) Convenient and there’s a drugstore next to it too. Spacious, wheelchair friendly

Great supermarket in Kutchan a 10 minute drive from Hirafu ski village

This store has a better range of groceries at lower prices than the much smaller stores in Grand Hirafu. Well worth the taxi ride.

My personal favorite of grocery stores in Kutchan. Kind of middle of the road. Some english, some foriegn food, middle prices. They do have a good alcohol section and some stellar deals. Produce is cheap. Easy to shop and eat for reasonable prices with a mix of authentic feeling. My personal favorite is the hot sauce selection they have! It's not big, but larger than any other store I've been in in Japan!

Must for shopping because they have everything for food.

The prices are cheap, i don't know if it cheaper than the other one but i love to come here to buy my week's food supply

Great option for veggies and fruits. Very empty in working day mornings.

Supermarket. I go there Everytime I finished whole day of snowboard and go grab some food. Lots of choice and with a drug store right next to it. Free car parking.
