For those that are wondering (because I know I was):
-Yes, the machines work
-(For foreigners) Yes, they have English directions
-Yes, they have single-use detergent and dryer sheets for sale in a vending machine (¥60-¥80)
-Yes, they have soda vending machines for you to make change if you need it, since the 7-eleven won’t do it
-Yes, it’s as convenient as all the reviews say it is

As a traveler, it was a perfect solution for a mid-trip laundry load. Two 8kg washing machines (¥400), three 6kg washing machines (¥300), three 8kg dryers (¥100/8 minutes). If you need a quick, simple, cheap place to do laundry in Roppongi/Minato, don’t skip this one.

Easy to figure out use of machines especially with Google Translate. Bring change because there is no change machine or you can use the detergent machine or vending machines outside for change. Smaller washing machine is 300 yen, larger wash machine is 400 yen and dryer is 100 yen for 8 minutes. Detergent is 60 yen. I used the larger washing machine and it took two drying cycles to dry all my clothes. As others have mentioned there is park really close by where you can sit and use the bathroom.

As most hotels are business in this area, they do not have laundry facilities. However, this place will save your day!

Laundry soap is ¥60 for a small load, which takes 30 minutes time- ¥300 cost. Dryers are extra strong, and in 8 minutes your clothes should be ready! Add ¥100.

Whole experience took less than an hour and gave me time to enjoy a beer in the local park!

Fast and efficient. 300 yen for the small washer (one of them) and 400 yen for the large washers(four). one of the washers was broken. they have three industrial dryers that work well. 8mins for 100 yen. Depending on how many clothes you have, you can get away with 8 minutes of drying. I would say 8 mins for every 2-3 days of clothes 6-10 articles of clothing. if it's winter time and you thicker clothes, you may need to dry longer. I visited in the summer

Very easy to find using Google maps and plenty of washers and dryers at 8am on a weekday (in June). I brought my own detergent (Charlie Soap pods), but they also sell detergent there. I don’t read or speak Japanese, but I was able to figure out the change machine and washer and dryer with no issues. Washer takes 30 minutes, and the dryer took about 40 minutes. I just waited outside the laundromat and sat on my Away suitcase. Everything worked well.

Perfect tiny coin laundry. They’ve updated a bit recently. The detergent dispenser gives change, just like the 2 vending machines outside. 3 washers for 5kg for 300¥ and 2 washers for 8kg for 400¥. Drying 100¥ for 8 minutes.

Stayed at Grand Hyatt. This is a jump away. Detergent is 80 yen for largest size. Two sizes of washers, dryers are extremely hot. Maybe just two cycles of eight mins. I made a mistake of picking four.

Locals may use also. Plan an hour for wash and dry. Park nearby is infested with ants. Go get some food or walk around the neighborhood. I went in the afternoon on a weekday and machines were available.

If you've got kids with you, they can play at the park next to it while you do laundry. Vending machine outside serves hot (yes hot) coffee or tea as well as iced coffee, cold water and tea. There isn't a change machine here and sometimes the laundry vending machine can run out of detergent however you can get change and laundry necessities at the 7-11 nearby.

Great 300¥ washes that come clean and nice smelling aswell as not being too damp. The 100yen dryers for 8 minutes were powerful and effective and got the job done. Spent about $10AUD for 4 days worth of 2 peoples clothes, couldn't recommend more... very nice and safe area as well.

Very conveniently located (a few minutes from Roppongi exit 4B), cheap (300 yen to wash, 100 yen to dry, 70 yen for a box of single-use detergent), fast (~40 minutes to wash and dry), and clean & safe.

I only used the dryer, it takes 8 minutes, costs 100¥ and is very powerful. Definitely recommend it!

Got there at 5:45am after buying some detergent at the 7-11 around the corner. Was staying at the Ritz Carlton about 400m away that wanted to charge 600 yen to launder a piece of underwear and over 1000 yen for a shirt. It would cost me over 100,000 yen to wash a week's worth of clothes for my wife and I... No way!

The large washer was 400yen and the dryers are 100 yen for 9 minutes. Just make sure you have enough 100 yen coins, because there is no change machine. The 7-11 was nice enough to break a 1000 for me.

I was staying at Remm Roppongi hotel who wanted ¥325 for washing each underwear! Thankfully, this place was a 3 minute walk down a back-street with an Irish pub, and around a right turn, across from a little park. ¥300 per load to wash and ¥100 for 9 minutes of dry time. About three doors down lies a fantastic tempura place to chill out, and get a quick hot delicious meal.

First coin laundry experience in Tokyo. Just because the APA of such size has no coin laundry like other APA. 30 mins wash means have time to go Matsumoto and back..no waiting. Must bring or buy detergent. On site detergent vending may sold out. 300 yen for 30 mins wash and 100 for dry 9 mins.

Only Japanese guidance. Vending machine for detergent did not work so I came to 7eleven to buy detergent. There is 7eleven on the way. Please pick up the small pack of detergent before you come here.

I am also starting at the Remm Roppomgi and didn't even bother asking about laundry when I found this gem. They have detergent inside but I went to the seven eleven and bought 3 tide packets for 115 yen. Look in the first aisle to your right. 30 minutes to wash. It's also next to a cute park. I feel like I conquered Tokyo now.
