The museum is very cool and I enjoyed the time there. The staff is very nice and helpful.

The entry is free and its located in the 3-4th floor of the building.

The current theme is spy x family and you can get a cute Anya stamp there!

Amazing little place of the history of anime. There’re audio guides for free. Several interactive sections like voice-dubbing and having a go at some stop-motion drawings. Good couple of hours spent there.

Free museum about animation. English friendly, including an English audio tour guide. Highlights include interactive dubbing, kinda like karaoke where you match the subtitles to the spoken dialogue, and an interactive exhibit where you can try to make your own animation. Not super expansive or inclusive but ridiculously good to see for being free

Exhibition is small and can be finished in 30 mins. Free admission and interesting to watch how Japanese animation were made. Lots of interactive features too - make your own animation.

Absolute little gem! If you love animation and a bit of history then I reccomened coming here it is very small but so worth it, they have a pillar that famous illustrators sign and draw on, they have kasets that you cna listen to for free and an easy point and listen guide in multiple languages! They even have a fab little room where you can make and record your own miniature animation! After you come out I reccomened having a walk to local shrines and temples or hoping back on a bus and doing some sightseeing that's what we did, totally worth it!

Smallish, but packed full of stuff any fan of anime would appreciate. A definite must if you have a strong interest in Japanese animation over the years and are fans of things such as GITS, Akira etc
A massive plus is it's free. I would suggest talking a walk down

Small but detailed with history of Japanese animation efforts from 1917 to today. Disregard what the website says about needing an interpreter for non-Japanese speakers. They have audio tours available in a handful of languages and there are many placards in English.

A very small and simple museum about anime history. Very cool props and sets to look at. The museum has a digital guide that comes with an English language option. Come celebrate the history of the distinct art that has become known across the world!

Although it's a bit on the small side it details the history and production of anime quite well.

It is a hidden gem! A bit difficult to get to for tourists, but a wonderful, wonderful experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Would really recommend it to anyone. They have a great audio program and it is small but it is free and really nicely done. We spent a few hours there, but my kids liked the drawing room.
