Visited Towada Lake with Akita Inaka School! Sayaka showed us around the Towada Lake and the Towada shrine.

Really like the environment the shrine is in! There are prayer instructions in English and I heard that throwing in 5 yen is lucky!

Beautiful ancient temple complex, located in the forest. Old wooden shrines, peaceful and serene.

A tranquil, cool shrine just 500m from the road. There are several places to stop and admire, including one up a steep flight of stairs. But there are also ample flat spaces and the entrance to the area is flat as well

A very peaceful shrine a short walk away from Towadako bus stop. The shrine itself is covered by tall cedar trees and moss which gave it a very mysterious feel to it.

Take the time to climb to the top of the shine. It was raining on this trip and it is not an easy climb on a good day so we missed the top. Over looking the lake from the top is amazing!

Beautiful shrine nested amongst the woods. Feels somewhat out of an anime with the moss growth. Very lovely.

A beautiful and peaceful place to respectfully visit. There is a plaque that has the multilingual explanation of the shrine's significance to the area. A must see if in the area

Such a peaceful place to be in. An old shrine located near Lake Towada. Walking toward to the lake, you will come across the statues of maiden by the lake.

Interesting shine hidden somewhere in the nature. Highly recommend to explore it when you visit Lake Towada.

This place is so cool. You can see the old Towada-jinja Shrine just as you go within the forest. But you can see the temple and some of the ancient statue. Its so quiet and cold.
