They only have otters at the moment.
I went to see the otters and it was an amazing experience. They are quite active and run around a bit.

The staff was very nice, she brings the otters to us if we weren’t holding one for a while.

The area was small and spacious, the size was perfect because because there won’t be too many people and you can always see the otters playing even if you’re not touching one.

We had two sleeping otters placed on our laps. It was soo cute 🥹

Oh my goodness, did I get my cuteness overload! This was arguably my favorite part of my tokyo trip and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try this out.

Mimi Cafe is a rabbit and otter cafe but you do not have to play with both. It is located on the basement level (B1F and B2F) in Toshima City and you’ll have to knock on the door before entering. The “menu” so to speak is posted in English and Japanese outside their B1F door. My boyfriend and I opted for the 30-minute session with both the animals and no beverage. This results in a split session with both.

Like most animal cafes, you’ll need to take off your shoes and wear their slippers. You’ll also need to hang up your purses and backpacks so that they don’t get chewed on by the critters. You’ll wear this funny bunny patterned apron and a green tartan skirt in order to protect your clothes. But be warned, these animals can get a little... curious. ;)

Since we went on a Wednesday afternoon, it wasn’t so busy. But we did also manage to miss the crowd because as we finished our session with the rabbits, several more came in to follow. I wouldn’t say it’s just a tourist location. I saw a younger male student come in to experience it as well. Perhaps it’s a great way to let off some steam or play with animals if your residence doesn’t allow you to have pets.

The bunnies were sooo adorable and so soft but when you have the pellets in your hand, boy will they do anything to get a few bites!

When we got to the otters, each of us had to come inside individually as they were very well known for being attempted escape artists. The otter room had 3 total otters and 1 of them was very clearly energetic in comparison to its siblings. The otters were admittedly way more fun than the bunnies simply because otters are so different and no one in America ever gets to play with them, so it was quite a treat. In this room, you’ll be guided by one of the employees who will give you treats to give to the otters. Be careful, because they are even feistier than the bunnies!

Overall, I loved my experience and would highly recommend this for anyone that likes both animals due to the 2-for-1 special. If you want to spend more time with them, there is also a 1-hour session that includes a beverage of your choice but we found that the 30-minute session was perfect for us.

A lovely little cafe. The staff are proficient enough in English and they have an English rule sheet to help. First things first - they have otters in addition to the rabbits, but are first and foremost a rabbit cafe, so be mindful of the rabbits feelings when you are in the shop! Usually you will first go to the otter area for some interaction there, playing with otters or perhaps holding one while it sleeps like a log. Then, you will move to a rabbit area with a small group of rabbits that you can gently pet, feed, and play with. Quite an enjoyable experience and the animals are all well cared for.

Wow, otters are incredibly adorable and lively! The staff guided them to lie on our legs and showcase some adorable skills. We spent 50 minutes there and had an absolutely wonderful time.

The otters and the rabbits are so kawaii!! They are also very organised here. The rabbits are well looked after and will come to you. Very clear dos and donts which I feel are important.

They moved from floor B1 to the 8th floor. I think they’re only open for weekends at the moment, and there are only otters, no rabbits.

The staff are friendly and the otters look like they’re well taken care of. They listen to the staff’s commands well. The smell is acceptable. You are given protection jacket and an apron, but they are animals so dress accordingly.

Be warned they currently only have otters, but they are incredibly cute and friendly!! So soft and cuddly, they'll even sleep in your lap if you're lucky!!

I had a wonderful experience! I went with my husband. We paid 1400 yen each for 30 mins with just the otters. The cafe is downstairs. You pay before entry. You take off your shoes and put on slippers and an apron. The first room has rabbits and baby otters, and the lower floor has adult otters. We were very lucky that we got to play with the 6 baby otters. They are 3 months old and very playful. We were allowed to feed them treats and pat them but not pick them up. You can take photos but with no flash. The staff were very nice and accommodating as we don't speak Japanese. The otters seemed happy and healthy. I'm not sure about the drinks as we didn't purchase any. I would recommend this cafe.

Well time spent petting rabbits and otters. Yes they have adorable otters as well! A 30 minute session only allows you to interact with their rabbits, if you want to include otters in the package, go for the one hour session. A drink and some pellets will be given to you for the one hour package. I will always visit this cafe whenever I'm in Tokyo. Enjoyed my time there and hope you enjoy yours.

The staff gives you apron to wear to protect your clothes from getting dirty. Rabbits always poop, so the staff need to clean up often. The smell was not that bad considering the small space and that many rabbits. Otters were so cute. They seemed to love welcoming customers. If they fell asleep, they wouldn’t wake up easily.

The five stars go to all staff who work so hard. Good job! Keep up the good work.

A very FUN and RELAXING experience worth the money. Purchased the middle package which was spending time with bunnies and otters. We were able to feed and hold both. Not knowing no Japanese staff was very helpful and kind. We later got a translator who was very kind as well. Animals very well fed and fur was shiny. Lastly we had a free drink there was a hair (animal) but they gave me and brother another drink and were apologetic, no need to be but again very nice.

Amazing otter cafe! There are about 10-12 otters in the room. They look well fed, groomed, and taken care of. Only $18 for 1 hour and $13 for 30 minutes! Do the one hour so you can have time to play and take pictures without feeling rushed. Staff are very nice...they speak both Japanese and English.

One of my favorite experiences in Japan. Lots of friendly bunnies (ok, so they just want the treats, but they're friendly while trying to get them), comfortable environment, caring staff. And great value to boot.

While I only went to this bunny cafe, talking to friends who went to others this one is a bit different The bunnies are more free-roaming rather than transferred from a cage to your lap and back again. Being able to see them flop about, and interact with each other, and play with multiple bunnies at once, was a lot of fun.

Really fantastic experience.

Had a very nice experience there, but it is actually not a cafe. You can hug rabbits and feed them, while seating in some small enclosure. Staff helps you to have contact with animals but they are no forced to go to you, so you better seem interesting to them otherwise they won't come ! Very nice memory and pictures, we had a fun and cute moment there :)

This place is amazing. The otters are so sweet and will sleep in your lap while you snuggle them. The bunnies are also lovely and very friendly. I would be here every weekend if I lived in Tokyo. Staff is also very nice.

Best rabbit place I seen or went to. Staff spoke english well and the rabbits were so friendly plus you get free food to feed them. They cycle the rabbits so each rabbit has time out of cage. Otters were really fun and was odd to see but must be done.

A great experience. The rabbits seem to be very comfortable with people and freely jump into your lap for a pet or treat. Staff very friendly and have a good understanding of English. Staff seem to really care about the animals and seem to have formed a close bond with them

It is such a cute place with bunnies and otters. They care a lot about them, you have to wear safety clothes and wash your hands. They give you food and water to feed them, and they pay attention what are you doing. You don’t have to drink, just pay for the stay. I recommend this place!
