Ama Chaya

A quaint and cozy cafe located right across the main road from the station. We ordered the pancakes (2 pieces) and drink set (only ¥880). The pancakes were soft, fluffy and delicious. The generous serving of butter was a pleasant and much appreciated surprise since I’ve noticed most pancake places in Japan only serve you a tiny portion which never ends up being enough. My cafe au lait was served with the cutest teddy bear shaped block of iced coffee (see photo). Also, the customer service was wonderful. The cafe staff are so sweet, attentive and genuinely appreciative of their patrons. If you’re a fan of Totoro, the cafe is decorated with handmade Totoro wreaths and mini figurines which are also for sale near the shop’s front door. My friends and I swung by again on our way back to the station to purchase some as the cutest little souvenirs.

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this treasure of a place. I was looking for food options near the station that I could take on my long train ride and found this cafe with a short list of to-go options. I ordered the Ebi and Karaage lunch box, which was made fresh to order. It took about 10 minutes, but I didn’t mind because the owner has an abundance of adorable, Totoro-inspired acorn decorations/figures on display for sale. I spent the entire 10 minutes browsing and I still don’t think I saw everything. In the end, I couldn’t resist buying a few items. The lunch box was also exceptionally delicious. It was clearly made with care and the service was absolutely phenomenal. They are cash-only, but this business is definitely worth supporting if you have it :)

Had a delicious Ikura Don over lunch at this cosy corner and was served by a pair of cheerful women who finds passion in running the restaurant. Just look at their English menu and you'll know what I mean. The food was priced reasonably compared to the other tourist traps in the area.

great 400 yen pancake stack for a quick bite. owners are incredibly sweet and kind. you can purchase the little totoros they make out of acorns for a couple hundred yen each.

Amazing service - the staff helped us prepare a warm breakfast to go in less than 5 mins, knowing that we were in a hurry to catch the train. She went above and beyond to pack our food and coffee even though the restaurant doesn’t typically do takeaways!Thank you so much 💕

Good food, and nice cozy atmosphere, and the service was really high... We had 3 free drinks! We couldn't drink all but it was funny. I think because we ordered a dessert? It didn't even cost much.

Amazing place - the friendly staff make the place feel like a special find and they were so kind to our children, giving them books to read and paper and pens for drawing, and a warm welcome.

普段、食レポなどしないが書き込みしたくなるような美味しさ。
最初に海老フライ＆唐揚げハヤシ（1500円）とアイスコーヒー（500円）を注文。
店の前にある食品サンプルは少し小さいが実際提供された海老フライはかなりデカい。
海老フライは大と小があり写真の海老フライは小だが大海老と思った方がよい。
身もしっかりしていてぷりぷり。
唐揚げは下味がついている。
アイスコーヒーは氷で薄まらないように氷はコーヒーで作ってある。
あまりにきちんとしているのでチョコレートパフェ（880円）を注文。このボリュームである。
さらに運ぶ際に葡萄が落ちたということで別皿で提供。黙っていれば分からないのに良心的過ぎる。
価格は一見、全体的に高いと思ってしまうが価格以上の物が出てくるので高くない。むしろ接客も入れると安いと思う。
本当に全てがきちんとしているお店なのでまた来店したいと思いました。

10時前に1歳の娘を連れて伺いました。ミニパンケーキとアイスカフェオレ、どちらも可愛い🥞パンケーキはモチモチでビスケットに描かれてた絵が娘に似ていて嬉しかったです。カフェオレにはクマさんの氷🐻大人も子供も喜びました。次は娘を連れてお昼を食べに行きたいです。

ボリューム満点の美味しいランチ★コスパも良くて家族で大満足でした😊駅前というアクセスの良さも人気の秘密ですね。城崎という観光地で海鮮系のお店が多い中で洋食の定食屋さんは重宝しますね。家族連れで入りやすいお店でした。

看似簡單的早餐，卻包含著日本人的用心好吃

城崎駅前の洋食屋さん。
カレーをいただきましたが、コクがあるけどさっぱり目で、見た目のボリュームのわりにはさくっと食べられました。
メニューも豊富だし、二階席は広くて駅前ロータリーを見下ろしながらのランチは大満足。

城崎駅前の海女茶屋さんでランチ。
でかいエビフライが２匹。おいしかったです。
エビハンバーグ定食でしたが、量はかなり多くて、少々持て余し気味でしたが、エビはぷりぷりで美味しかったです。
特にタルタルソースが最高。かなり美味しかったです。
これだけでも食べれそう。。。

這家店最好吃的其實是但馬牛燒肉，燒肉的調味沾醬配合的非常得好，個人非常的喜歡，雖然城崎溫泉有點遠，但我已經連續兩年都從台灣跑過來吃，雖然但馬牛燒肉比起去年已漲價不過還是相當的划算，勝過不少名店的A4、A5和牛料理；今年三月底來沒賞到櫻花，但連續兩天來吃這裡的但馬牛燒肉也值了，也可以順便去附近的出石吃蕎麥麵喔！
後來發現這家店最厲害的其實搭配但馬牛燒肉的那個燒肉沾醬，直接把燒肉的美味程度提升一倍以上，這也難怪他雖然並不是標示使用A4以上頂尖級的燒肉（因為有一次外帶的時候發現肉的本體味道其實並沒有特別突出，被打回原形，但是一旦淋上所附贈的沾醬美味度立刻爆表，立刻贏過城崎溫泉其他家貴桑桑的但馬牛排），可是吃起來的美味程度更勝許多神戶牛排！目前關西地區吃到的料理也就只有Mouriya 神戶牛勝過這家的但馬牛燒肉定食。

正直食べ切れるか不安なレベルでした。
店員さんの気遣いも非常に好印象でした。

家族3人でお昼前に訪問しました。
イクラ丼とエビのカレーとエビの定食を頼みました。
イクラ丼のイクラの量の多さ、味も最高でした。えびも大きくてびっくり。
スタッフも親切で娘に絵本を持ってきてくれました。
城崎温泉に行く時は、行く時と帰る時 必ず2回は行きたいお店です。
次回はお弁当も購入予定です。
