Very beautiful, definitely worth a visit to the garden. We went in early February when everything is just starting to bloom which was quite special. I can’t imagine how beautiful it must be when the plum blossoms are fully bloomed! Attached some of my favorite moments from our visit

A beautiful and secluded shrine and garden hidden away in an industrial area, visited mostly by locals. This garden is a peaceful alternative to the bustling and overcrowded attractions in Kyoto City.

Photography is not permitted inside the temple, entry to the garden costs ¥1,000 for adults.

Not recommended for large crowds or loud groups.

Wisteria in full bloom on April 22. Absolutely delightful garden. Will revisit during camellia and plum season.

Came just after the cherry blossoms and just as other flowers were about to bloom. Still a nice quiet place to stroll around.

Japanese history viewpoint. I visit to see the gardens and trees. The blooms are maximum early in 2024. Newest pictures here are from February 29, 2024! Wisteria were in full bloom on April 22.

l visited around 12:30 p.m. and there was not much line to enter the garden. It costs 800 yen per person. (For kids if l am not mistaken 500 Yen). We access by train and after the train station 10 minutes of walking. If you decide the come by car, parking lot is available.around the Shrine. The garden is amazing, it is a must-see in Kyoto this time of year. #Shrine #Kyoto #Spring #Sakura

The most beautiful plum blossom viewing spot so far Japan! It was crowded during weekend but it's definitely worth a visit. There's an entrance fee for 800yen. There are some parking lots for the temple but it gets packed in the afternoon.

This was a cute little find. Very peaceful and pretty. We unfortunately just missed full bloom for the cherry blossom trees, but still had a nice time.
There was a charge of 800 yen pp to enter.

Beautiful temple. Expect about an hour. Very long lines and lots of people but totally worth it. Nearby food stores are also quite busy during peak season. 800 Yen Entry Ticket.

Great place to view early blossom of the plum flowers, a great substitute to the better know sakura. If you are in Kyoto mid to end Feb, this is a place to look out for plum blossom tree.. 🌸 🌸 🌸

A beautiful shrine which is very much less crowded compared to the other attractions. It also offers beautiful views with the plums blossoms and has numerous flowers. You can smell the aroma of the plums when you enter. Do check this place out when you are in Kyoto.

Very nice gardens, information available in English. We did just miss the cherry blossom in fully bloom but there where still plenty starting to fall. Which actually looked lovely.

Very peaceful drowning out the sounds of day to day life just behind

Impressive gardens. Probably something for every season. Not heavily visited in fall. Limited number of maple (momiji). However, it was nice in that there were very few visitors. Rather long walk from Takeda station. Sections designed for different cultural historic eras. Located in the middle of heavily trafficked urban area where it offers relief from traffic noise.

Jonangu was the south guardian gate of the ancient capital, Kyoto.
This shrine is believed to have a power to purify bad direction, lead success in construction and transport.
The garden is famous for weeping plum trees.
I visited here on 13th Feb 2019, unfortunately only some of them were in bloom and most of them were still in buds.
But yet they were lovely and worth visiting.

Sooooo niche. No one knows about this beautiful ume spot except for locals. Although there are a lot of locals so expect a big queue. One of the most magnificent specatles I have ever witnessed the weeping blossoms are like flower fireworks. I'm pretty sure a sneaky lady puts all the camelias on the moss in the morning. Super tears of joy.

Amazing atmosphere and beautiful garden. It’s probably amazing all year around with so many different types of flowers but right now with the plum blossoms it’s unbelievable. A little crowded even when the weather is bad though.
