Higashi-Takane forest park

A secluded, quiet park with playground equipment. Toilets are clean and usable.
Very few people around when I went.
It's a great place to have some relaxation in peace.

Beautifully maintained Eco-system. Much time and thought went into this park with something for everyone. Excellent children's play system. Dog friendly. Great place for photography. Whether it's landscape, horticulture, insects, birds, amphibians or people you will find something to see or capture in a photo. This is an add for your to do list

It is one of my favorite park. Hiking, picnic, summer play, fishing, catching bugs, sports etc inclusively kids favorite. Autumn is so gorgeous here. Parking is free during winter time and other time only in weekdays.

Very big national park, very pretty, lots of nature and birds.

Medium sized prefectural well maintained park featuring a hill where there used to be a village in the 6th century AD. Around a hill is an oak forest and series of ponds with plants and animals such as ducks. It's soothing to listen to the water flow and be surrounded by the greenery. The parking is free, at least on weekdays.

One of my favorite parks. It's not super big, but there are many different sections, each with a completely different feel and atmosphere. The bottom part, where the small stream flows, is very peaceful and feels remote from the city, while the 'hiroba' on top, with its trees all around, give a very intimate feeling. The only downside is that you can hear the cars from the Tomei expressway, the noise reminding you that, in fact, you're still well inside the city...

Walk for a while, thinking and enjoying the nature. If you are near, you will like it. There are toilets and a parking too.

Lots of greenry. Great walk. Lovely place. Definitely will come back. The children loved it.

Beautiful, big, convenient access, and surprisingly close to a real forest considering where it is located.
Lots of facilities so that also families can enjoy it with the least trouble.

My favorite park in the Tokyo metro area. The clearing is surrounded by trees and you can pretend you aren't surrounded by soul-crushing city. It has an interesting history too.
