Shinanoya Shinjuku

An amazing range of cognacs and scotch. These days you won't find hibiki, hakushu or yamazaki here, that stuff has gotten ridiculously expensive and hard to lay your hands on, so if you're searching for that, don't come here. But if you want to unearth other things this is a good place, I find some new old cognac vintage every time, and many whiskey variations seem interesting if I hadn't filled my liquor quota with cognac. They will do that tax free mumbojumbo if you need it, bring your passport. This location gets into the slightly adult part of shinjuku but apparently this is a chain and I didn't know that everytime over the last dozen years I come here that I could've tried one of the locations in, day, Ginza. And btw it's also some kind of grocer with things that go well with your wine - cheeses or things to make a nice dinner and all that, not a full supermarket but one with decent range if you're in the area and entertaining.

If you are looking for reasonable priced whisky, whiskey, Bourbon, or other spirits, this is the place. If you're an American, stop by and get your favorite for a lot less than home.

They give you a tax free option and bubble wrap and sealed in a duty free bag. Wish I had more luggage space.

If you are in the Air Force and flying thru Tokyo, make all your friends happy with bottles from this location.

Tired of drinking Asahi? Stop by here for a large selection of wine, saki, and craft beer. Most stores and restaurants have only 1 or 2 choices. You can find a variety here! Staff is friendly and place is clean. Definitely a stop for a quick refreshment as you wander the streets.

Absolutely amazing store! Tons of different wines, sake, whiskey, and charcuterie. Definitely the place to go if your trying to treat yourself to a taste of the good life.

Best shop in all of Toyko. The widest range of whisky and every other spirit and drink imaginable. Very friendly service. Great selection of succulent snacks and meats and cheeses to go with. No trip to Tokyo should pass without visiting Shinanoya.

Very large selection and had most of what I was looking for, except a specific Nikka whiskey. The older gentleman (manager?) who helped me was very kind, and he had a variety of recommendations for different price points and styles.

Glad I checked here to find the wild turkey 12year. I love the hospitality of this country.

Excellent and convenient liquor store right near APA hotel. The cashier during my visit spoke excellent English ("Yeah, you're ok dude, no problem.") because he lived in the USA for a few years!

Mike Mccauly would enjoy the selection of liquor here. I personally picked up Hermes Green Tea liquor here. It's hard to find unless the shop is well stocked. Mix with milk or almond milk for a really great drink to impress your friends.

They have alcoholic beverages from all over the world and all range of the prices.
Also the deli sections with foods from around the world is not big but has many good stuff and the prices are relatively cheap comparing to other places selling same stuff.

Great collection of Islay whiskies!

Excellent selection of spirits, and really good prices compared to some other shops we went to. The duty free shops at the airport don't have such a great selection of Japanese spirits, so I suggest going here before the airport if you want something local.

My number one shop to buy alcohol before flying home. Good prices, do tax-free and package the bottles for you fairly good. Drawback is lack of Japanese whisky's. Nice sortiment of Sake, Sochu and Umeshu though.
