Conveniently located near tons of guest houses and inns, Ikementen Coin Laundry was a lifesaver during my 5-day stay in Kyoto.

Nothing beats having clean clothes, and getting them in a fast, clean, and relatively cheap way can make or break a trip abroad.

They have change machines and everything you need to clean your clothes inside (even detergent-injecting washer+dryer combination machines). No need to walk around with detergent and 5lbs of loose change.

Cheap and easy to use. Got a bag full of clothes washed and dried withing an hour.
On the right side of the room there are washing machines: 200yen for a cold wash and 300 for hot. Washing takes 38 minutes.
On the left side there are dryers. 100 yen for 10 minutes.
There's also one machine that does both washing and drying but it will probably be occupied.
The place is safe. Mainly used by students and tourists. There's a coffe shop within 7 minutes opposite of McDonald's. Nice place to wait for the wash.

Good price. Efficient machines. Detergent automatic.

Great place to wash your laundry. However, do note.

1. There is ONLY one machine that serve wash and dry.

2. There are 4 washing machine without dryer

3. There are 4 dryers machine.

Total there are only 9 machines altogether in this place.

A God send! 200 yen for a wash with detergent automatically included and 100 yen per 10 min dry. These dryers are not your typical Japanese dryers, these suckers DRY.

200 yen for cold water wash or 300 yen for warm water wash. Detergent is included in price and it is automatically dispensed. Drying is 100 yen for 10 mins. 4 washers and 4 dryers. Open 24 hours.

Great place to do your laundry! Very cheap and clean. You don't need to bring degenerate cause it's injected automatically into the washing machine.
And the best thing is the lovely stuff of the place!

Also has a machine that washes and dries in one run.
