I did the JLPT Summer Study Trip and it was amazing! I work a lot so I would not have time to go over documents and organize my accommodation and school so Studytrip was perfect. They put me in a really nice school and I improved my Japanese a lot. The Studytrip staff were also very helpful, kind, and friendly the whole time. The activities they organized were also super fun, I did many new things that I probably would not have tried otherwise. It was so cool to meet the other people in the study group too. I ended up making lots of friends and we visited many places together. Also, taking the JLPT was not that bad because my new friends were there taking it too. I am definitely doing another study trip in the near future with them. I highly recommend you try it.

I had a great time on the spring 2024 study trip course! I made lots of new friends, my Japanese greatly improved at school, and I now have memories for life from Japan. I would highly recommend taking the leap if you are interested in experiencing Japan :)

I participated in the Korea Spring Course for 2023 and this was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The coordinators were phenomenal, flexible, and engaging. They truly wanted to connect with everyone who participated in the program, and all of the activities were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I cannot recommend this program enough, it was extremely fun! The coordinators are also always quick to reply to any questions or concerns, and they definitely tried their best to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible.

I went to the Japan Summer Course 2018, and it was the best experience of my life! Everything was well organized, both the school and the activities part. The staff was always ready to help you with any kind of problem, and the guides were amazing. I was able to meet people from all over the world and to became good friends with them. It's really a great experience for all those who love Japan! I absolutely recommend Studytrip for all the people that want to learn the language, live the culture and have lot of fun!

I did the Otaku course and autumn course in 2017 and both were fantastic. Living in the dorm was great because I got to become friends with everyone else in the program, while home stay really improved my Japanese and gave me a better look into actual life in Tokyo. The activities were all a ton of fun and our guide, Jose, was awesome. If you're interested in having a great experience in Japan while also getting to learn some Japanese, I 100% recommend this program.

Went over the Summer Course of 2019 and had one of the most memorable and enjoyable times of my life so far! Jose was an amazing guide around Tokyo and the classes at Akamonkai were VERY intensive, but also very enjoyable. I was on the gold plan and if you DON’T get the gold plan you’re really missing out on a LOT of fun activities! I’d gladly do it again in a heartbeat! My love for Japan has intensified since going and I’m getting impatient for my return!

I went during May of 2017, and I absolutely loved it. This was my first trip abroad so I really didn’t know what to expect at first especially since I didn’t know the language that well, but the classes were engaging and the activities were fun as well. Also once you get the hang of it, it’s relatively easy to get around Tokyo during your free time. I took the beginner level course and definitely learn quite a bit during my time in class with pretty much zero knowledge of the language. I’m currently on vacation right now in Tokyo, and was surprised how much I was able to read after pretty much a year out of practice. This program opened me up to traveling abroad, and I highly recommend it!

I participated in the Summer Course of 2019 with Study trip and it was really fun and was an amazing, most memorable experience! I had a blast and didn't want to leave, I wished that the trip could've been longer and wished that I had more time to do other things... the staff are all very professional and friendly and helped as much as they can and always responded to any questions and messages. Thank you so much to Lindsay, Jose, Lydia, and Mika! I hope that I will get a chance to visit Japan again in the future. ^_^

The experiences, feelings and all the new memories I've got from Studytrip through this summer was so amazing and wonderful that it's hard to put it into mere words! I took the course Traditional Japan 2019 (about three weeks) and there wasn't a single day or activity I was disappointed in! The school, the guide, friends- everything was absolutely perfect! Going to this study trip, learning Japanese, got to know new friends from all around the world- this trip is really the highlight for me this year! 🌟

I was on the otaku Japan 3-weeks course and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. The actives were all amazing and super fun. The people were amazing too. The Study Trip staff really made the trip enjoyable! Fast responses, easy to contact, super nice! 10/10! I definitely recommend it, it was an incredible experience!

Firstly, if anyone is unsure about going on one of these courses, just do it!

I took the Otaku Japan course and it was such an amazing experience. I was a little nervous because it was my first trip to Japan as well as my first time traveling alone, but now I don't know why I was nervous. If you had any questions or concerns all the staff were friendly, helpful and respectful, doing everything they could to make your experience safe and comfortable. There was a good mix of activities as well as plenty of free time to explore the various areas of Tokyo! It's a great course to meet new friends from all over the world, explore a new environment and learn a new language/brush up on it.

Lastly, I wanted to leave a special shoutout to Lindsay, Jose and my Otaku family. Thank you all so so much for making this an amazing experience, I will miss you all very much!!!
(And if anyone wants a reunion... Let's start planning ;D)

The staff were very helpful, and cooperative. Every question I had was swiftly answered, and when I was having trouble with my sleeping arrangements it was promptly taken care of in an organized manner. I think one of the best parts about the staff is how knowledgeable they are of the tokyo area, many time I was able to ask about recommendations and not be let down. The events they have lined up for the trip were fun, memorable, and organized. At all times I felt like I knew what was going on and I was never afraid I would get lost. I highly recommend doing one of their programs, it won't be something you will regret and I have no doubt it will be a trip you will remember for the rest of your life. 👍

I went to Japan as a Go!Go!Nihon student, for 1 month, and it was the best experience/time of my life ever. The staff are super helpful and friendly, you get to meet people from other countries and the group activities/trips are really exciting and unique.

When you make friends try to stay connected even more so when you have to leave at the end of your course.

Normally trips to other countries leave me feeling satisfied but leaving Japan and going back home made me depressed. I did not want to leave and if I can I will return, hopefully, permanently.

An amazing experience! I attended the Korea autumn course and had a wonderful time! The staff are really kind and helpful and the activities are fun and interesting. I learned a lot about Korea and I met a lot of amazing people. I would recommend the trip to anyone who wants to learn the language and explore Seoul. It was an unforgettable experience and I would love to do it again!

I went to Japan in the summer of 2016. This was my first trip abroad from Canada. I enjoyed learning the language as the teachers were all very pleasant. I made so many friends from all over different parts of the world who shared similar interests as me! Thanks to go go, they made my journey so amazing that I returned in fall of 2017 to enjoy more Ramen:)

I went on the 4 week Summer Study Trip and it was the best time of my life. It was my first time traveling to Japan and this study trip was perfect as I was looking to learn some of the language as well as see and experience Japan. Akamonkai school and it's accommodation were great, staff were amazing, I made lifetime friendships.

My first trip to Japan was with their Otaku course in September 2017. Had a blast and went back for the Taste Of Spring course in April 2018. My experiences from the first course gave me the courage and confidence to travel solo to Japan a week before my second course started.
The Studytrip format is great. It's a good mix of language studies and awesome activities. I made friends with people from all over the world and learned so much about Japan, Tokyo and the japanese language.
