A great Chinatown to visit if you love everything Chinatown! It has everything...all of the restaurants and outside food stalls that you could wish for. It was extremely busy when we came here, just before Chinese New Year and technically still public holidays. Can easily spend hours pottering around here, eating and shopping for small gifts.

One of the most decorated Chinatown I have been too! It’s like you stepped into another world. Better set up and decorations than most of Asia and Europe.

Lots of Chinese food, shops and shopping. Had a great time walking and eating around this place. Highly recommended if you are going Yokohama.

On January 1, 2024, we had the pleasure of visiting Yokohama Chinatown to celebrate the start of a new year.
We visited the liveliest Chinatown we've ever seen; it's well kept and adorned with hanging banners.

It will take at least three hours to visit the food stalls, get your fortune read, then dine at one of the many restaurants.

You could start your exploration by going to the Chinatown information centre first.

"This location offers a delightful experience for enthusiasts of Chinese and Japanese street food combinations. The ambiance is pleasantly uncrowded, allowing you to explore and uncover fantastic deals on both food and souvenirs at reasonable prices.

Cremia, priced at just 600+ yen, is a delectable soft-serve ice cream that strikes the perfect balance between creaminess and sweetness, complemented by a delightful crunchy and sweet cone. Highly recommended.

The savory Panda and Pig buns are freshly cooked, with a note to have water or milk on hand for the spicy bun, which packs a notable heat."

I went on 7 Feb, Wednesday. There weren't many people, mostly teenagers and tourist.
There was a short queue at each shop, both food and dessert.

A large, lively area with so much great food on every corner. Coming here on a weekend, this place was unsurprisingly packed with people with long lines in all of the popular snack shops and restaurants. It's just great to walk around this area and find some of the best Chinese food outside of China. Highly recommend for food trips and definitely worth a detour if you're visiting Yokohama.

It was nice to be able to admire a corner of China here, in Yokohama. In these streets there are small shops selling typical Chinese products and truly fascinating temples. You can breathe an ancient air, made of tradition and cultural fusion. I recommend the visit.

Amazing Chinatown. Maybe the world’s best, due to Japanese standards. Amazing steamed buns everywhere. Very interesting shops. A lovely place for a stroll and snacking or dinner.

the place to look for the best snacks that must be visited, here there are many shops selling Chinese-style street food that must be tried. the price is also cheap in my opinion. The typical Chinese buildings lined up together also make an aesthetic impression in every photo you take. You can also find shops that sell typical Chinese medicine and spices, if you wish, there are also many fortune telling booths that you can visit at varying prices. There are many souvenir shops there too.

Immerse yourself in the historic charm and culinary delights of Yokohama Chinatown, Japan's largest. Over 500 restaurants entice with diverse Chinese and Taiwanese flavors, from spicy Sichuan to delicate dumplings. Wander lantern-lit streets, explore bustling shops, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere during year-round festivals. This lively community offers an unforgettable escape into the heart of China, right in the heart of Japan. Don't miss it!

A very colorful street with plenty of amazing food options. Smaller than you would think but very packed. Actually has a distinct atmosphere to it as compared to other "nation" towns.

Just follow the people after exiting the trains a long underground tunnel.
It was surprisingly huge from hundreds of restaurants, fortune telling, gift shops and health practices. There's a temple further back and a somewhat mall to dress cosplay and even fish pedicures. It would definitely take more than a weekend to explore the many alleys to sample dim sums, snacks, buns and cuisines. There's many entrance gates so you can remember your favourite shops. The largest Chinatown in the world.

Chinatown is always fun! You discover something new every time you visit. Trying the street food is also fun. Go there with an empty stomach😋😋

Visiting is free but the street food is a bit pricey. You will spend 4-800 yen for each item you buy - food, drink, and snack.

It is a very lively place with a lot of street food, restaurants, and other shops. Since it is very close to the warehouse, it can be visited straight after for food instead of eating at the warehouse food court.

I'm from San Francisco Bay Area and I have to say the Chinatown in Yokohama is 100x cleaner and well maintained than the one in SF 😬, lots of great foods to try, and very walkable.

The aesthetics are so nice and there are a lot of good food here. It's also within walking distance of the Gundam Base.
