Yokohama Takashimaya

Every major train station always has great shopping near by. For me, the best part to check out is on floor B1... Where all the food is! Its like a food court. I didn’t find a place to sit, so you do have to grab and go.

I love this department store, namely the food section on the bottom two floors. It is a bit of a luxury center so some prices are on the higher side, but the quality is consistent.

The basement has amazing premade sushi, discounted after 7pm I believe for some really good deals, and an awesome butcher where you can get some beef that is unparalleled. Literally meat that is marbled to a degree that you would not be able to find in The States no matter what you paid. The produce section is also top notch. Greens are pretty well priced and always fresh. Things like avocados and fruits are a bit on the expensive side but always guaranteed to be perfectly ripe to take home and enjoy day of.

One floor up the premade food and gift section is extremely extensive. Large variety from desserts to standard dinner fare is available, enough to keep you trying new products for months. I enjoyed the croquettes, strawberry shortcake from Gramercy, bakery, and Japanese style hamburger, just to name a few.

My family and I went to the outlet to shop before our late afternoon flight back home. The shopping experience was good and there were nice cafes within the shopping centre.

We managed to buy some items for the children and we were happy with the purchased.

However, upon reaching back home, we came to realise that the items we bought from Yokohama Takashimaya were missing. We figured that we might have left the items behind and contacted Yokohama Takashimaya. They replied promptly and was able to locate the items.

They also helped to advice us on payment for shipment and made arrangement to ship the items to me.

Really like to thank them for the assistance rendered and wrapping the items nicely before shipping to me.

The best place to do your shopping less crowded than Tokyo still a lot of people walking around after office hours. It a kind of high end areas and choices is un ending from high fashion brand the only problem I got is a little money in my pocket. While you are in japan be any part communication is the key to your love ones, you can buy a SIM card good for 16 days is equivalent to dollars is $35 and the 30 days is $40 dollars I attached the items on this one. Ophs! Just to curiosity I play the lottery here they call it tarakuji you can ply 6 numbers which is around $2 dollars and the other one is 7 numbers which cost you $3 for one row numbers. It’s a quick pick machine so machine will be the one to pick it. Guess what I got 3 numbers right on the play lottery 7 I won $57 dollars not bad which is equivalent to yen 8,000.00 I bet again awaiting next week’s draw and hoping will hit the jackpot ….just dreaming! If you travel doesn’t know your location make it a point a place that is well known in that area as your starting point from there you can explore that area and you won’t get lost that’s my suggestion, life is short keep exploring things, place’s to see people you meet all kinds of personal characters, food to taste and enjoy every bite you chew, and never closed your avenue in food taste, explore interesting places and cultures. 8th floor bargains are a must visit. Bought some really nice yardage for curtains, inexpensive. The store is one of the best in Japan.

At the basement, multiple shops offer a variety of desserts and viands that are very appetizing to look at. Some offer free taste of their products so yoi can try them first before buying.

This place is full of brands.
I would suggest Takashimaya for ladies items and cosmetics. You would find brands like YSL, Dior and many other on the first floor(ground floor).
The building looks well planned and it looka festive during festivals. The salesman/woman are cordial and polite.
The example is, we did not have any intention to purchase anything but we ended purchasing lipstick and face powder from YSL.

The building and facilities maintain all kinds of accessibility things.
You would have safety precautions like checkout dividers/hand sanitizer etc.
Overall a nice experience.

Love their basement foods stalls, so much choices at high quality and friendly services

The basement food section has vast varieties of selection of Japanese delicacies. Must try the pancake and there's always a long q. Try the seasonal sales item cheap and good buy. There's a great selection of fresh fish and seafood up for grabs at the fresh produce section. I will try to shop at taka after 730pm as many items are on discount. As for jewelries,taka give 5% off for tourist but no tax refund. There's a great selection of cosmetic up at level one and the sales girls are always very helpful and patient while you make a purchase or browsing.

Very convenient location right by Yokohama station, great range of shops ranging from the everyday to ask the luxury brands. A lot easier to shop here than in Tokyo. If you stay at Sheraton Yokohama, it's even connected underground. Service here is just as attentive and top notch as you would get in Tokyo. Definitely recommend it.

Yes you can have a visit. It has good taste for Expencive product. I like it for Sovinors which is at 7 floor. I feel it's quite reasonably priced. Better compared to joinus which is too much flowing with crowd. I visited for nesspresso. But it's not a cafe shop only capsule saleing outlet.

Can't beat a takashimaya. The options for shopping are endless. The food level in the basement has the best options and theres always a good event going on up on the 8th floor.

I like the gourmet or food hall of Takashimaya. The array of food and cookies is superb. Nice place to shop for takeaway meals or buy nicely packaged gifts.

Nice place for branded or designer goods shopping

Luxury departmental stores. Lots of designer clothing and handbags. This is the High End shopping area without any significant discount. It's for the well to do customers.

In terms of hospitality, service and professionalism, the local people here generally genuinely sincere and care. I fully satisfied and give them 5 stars, one of the best country that have a nice culture, and my experience shopping in takasimaya Yokohama proof it all.
