Niseko Photography & Guiding

Our guide, Jack, showed us an amazing time at the end of January 2024. Upon booking, I worried if they would be more skilled at photography and less with guiding but having now received the pictures, I can definitely say they did an incredible job at both. He is a professional surfing photographer in the summers. They are sending you out with someone that knows their way around a camera just as well as they know their way around the resorts, Rusutsu in our case. Jack was able to take us to a bunch of powder stashes that were tricky to find with ridgelines and show us where others would be for the following days of our trip. Finally, he was just a pleasure to hangout with on the lift and that is really important to me. I don't want to have a dozen awkward lift rides all day. I will definitely be using their service again if we come back and recommending to anyone I know that goes.

Darren took us to the most beautiful spots in Niseko to take our engagement photos. Elsie was so much help looking for a local to do my hair and make up. Thoroughly enjoyed our time with them, even the planning stage was exciting. The photos turned out so pretty!

We visited Hokkaido from Canada and would highly recommend taking a backcountry tour with Niseko Photography. Our guides were great at curtailing to our riding level and helped us explore a unique piece of the mountain that we would not have had the opportunity to see otherwise. They were also very hospitable, knowledgable, and lots of fun!

We had our pre wedding photos taken with Darren in Furano. From inquiries to booking the photoshoot, Elsie was super quick to reply and very helpful.

We've experienced a range of tours with these guys from a Rustutsu side country powder tour, to cat skiing tours and area tours. Their guides are reliable, helpful, educated and fun to be around. The photos we received afterwards were outstanding and are now plastered all over our walls. The memories created and captured were some of the best rides of our life. We are forever grateful for their experience and thorough planning as they provided both our family and friends with experiences that can only be described as unforgettable. These guys know where to find the powder stashes even when it hasn't snowed for awhile. We highly recommend this company and after two years in a row we hope to be back for a third next year. We signed up for 6 hours tour and Matt was our guide and driver on 14 December. Appreciated that he took us to some beautiful spots and great photos.

Favorite guiding company in Japan. Great people to spend the day skiing with, awesome photographers and well priced!

The best photographers and guides in town!

My fiancée and I had an amazing time with Darren. He showed us all the secret spots in Niseko, took amazing pictures, and recorded our proposal. Seriously can’t recommend these guys enough. 10/10.
