Absolutely stunning garden!

You might feel severely underdressed when entering the hotel, but don't be discouraged! The garden is open to visitors not staying at the hotel until 10pm, and no one seemed bothered that I wasn't dressed to the nines.

The garden and koi pond are beautiful. It is a great place to sit, relax and watch the koi fish. The hotel around it is top tier.

What a beautiful Japanese garden in the midst of concrete structures around it. In the heart of Tokyo, you can enjoy the beauty of this very well kept garden in Hotel New Otani. Mesmerizing waterfalls are the highlight of this garden, however its other sections are also very beautiful. Koi fish populate the ponds around the garden. Trees and rocks are placed beautifully.

It's hard to believe that there is such a beautiful Japanese garden in the middle of this office building. The garden is in New Ohtani Hotel and is free to get in. It has a couple of luxurious restaurants sparsely in it and it even has a waterfall in the center of the garden. We came at night this time but I'm sure it's a good place if you go in the daytime. It is worth going once.

OMG. This place has everything. Shopping malls below the two towered resort and hotel. Staff are excellent, whatever it is you want to do this place has it.

Amazing garden, can be a bit difficult to find, but there are helpful maps around that you can look at to find it. Has a nice waterfall and koi fish pond.

What can i say. This places really makes you feel like in the forest, the quietness the trees, the waterfall sound, and all in everything has a peace vibe. There were few restaurants but not open at this moment, there are some really old type buildings.
It’s a nice park to sit down to have a peace of mind.

We definitely thought we were lost when our cab pulled into the hotel, but the rigamarole to find this place was totally worth it! Gardens are absolutely stunning and completely free to enter. It was just this peaceful paradise inside a bustling city. Highly recommended!

It has also been selected as one of "Tokyo's Best 100 Spots to Boast to the World" by Toei Transportation and TripAdvisor.

With a history of more than 400 years, the garden had in the past been the property of various known samurai lords. The 10-acre-ground features several ancient stone lanterns, scarlet bridges over koi ponds, a stone garden, waterfall, as well as a myriad of flowers and rich foliage that bloom or change colors from season to season. While nestled in the heart of this busy city, the quiet and peaceful ambience that enfolds the expanse provides a moment of repose to hotel guests and visitors alike.

Exceptional archetype of a Japanese garden. Go at night when it's more serene. We visited this every day when staying at the hotel, a respite from busy Tokyo.
