Mixture

I simply love this place. I think Shimokitazawa is one of my favorite areas in Tokyo, and tiny Mixture is my favorite cafe in Shinokitazawa, and on the very top of the list in Tokyo. It is an authentic place, with the charm of a local store. It just has a good vibe that is it.

The sandwich set was really good. I liked the salad and egg salad that it came with.
The cafe mocha was also very good and not too sweet.
There is a good selection of bread and pastries for sale too.

Delicious sandwiches and code, I tried the mozzarella, tomato and pesto. Highly recommend it.

Whilst simple in design and the bread is nothing to brag about. The store being open super early for Japanese standards ( 7:30am) is a godsend in an area that the majority of shops don't open till 10:30 at the earliest. Great option for that early morning breakfast with a wide variety of breads.

This is a really excellent sandwich shop in Shimo. They also do takeout if you call ahead and you can buy fresh bagels. I mean just being able to buy a good bagel in Tokyo it in and of itself is a good reason to go here

I'm leaving the shimokita area now after a few days here, but I've got a gig here in a week and one of the things I'm most excited to come back to is Mixture. This place is phenomenal. All the baked goods are perfect, the breakfast is delicious, and the coffee hits the spot. Also, it's like the only place in the whole neighborhood open before 9. Which is fine by me, cus it's one of the coolest cafe/bakeries I've ever been to anywhere in the world. So great.

Excellent breakfast spot in Shimokitazawa. Opens 7:30 which is unusual around here. Morning Set (500yen) and Toast Set (600yen) both recommended.

Very popular yet local place for a light Western bread-based breakfast. They open at 7:30am, a rarity in sleepy Shimokitazawa.

Staffs are friendly and helpful, the bread worth the price and delicious ^_^ if you want to dine in, you should order set or bread + drink.
