Asahi Group Head Office Building

Really cool experience. We went on a Saturday lunchtime in November and it was quiet (no line). Enter the lobby, get the lift to the top then the escalator up again. Great views of the city and a really cool place to have a pint. They also serve food.

As one who appreciates architecture, I had to come see this building designed by Philippe Starck. Love the Hudson Hotel in NYC and this was another gem.

Interesting fact: the flame originally was upright but enough people in the apartments behind it complained it obstructed their view.

Beautiful view and beers. There are so many restaurants on the first floor area. Ask them the roof. When I arrived there, they accepted only cash. There is an card machine but it was bot working. Go to 21. floor and use escalator to reach.

Nice ambiance with the view of Tokyo Sky Tree. Beer was decently priced at about 650-750yen depending on what u order.

If you like Asahi beer, then this is a must. A large selection of beer sizes and the views of the SkyTree and Tokyo are incredible especially on a clear day.
We arrived just as it opened so hardly a wait but there are limited seating so i suspect it gets busy.

The giant “golden turd”. A well deserved 5 star sculpture. It actually symbolizes their passion for brewing, but locals sometimes call it this.

The Japanese have a great and wild sense of humor. One of the many reasons I feel right at home in Japan.

Perfect view of some of Tokyo. Had to put our name down around sunset but only waited 5 mins or so and got a nice window seat before the sun had set. Better photos before night time.

To top it off - it was with amazing views of the Tokyo Skytree and the Asakusa shrine!
This is our 2nd time back - every time we need a breather from the crowd in Asakusa, this is our go to.
Order a beer and enjoy the amazing views leisurely while you relax.
It is located in the office building so do be respectful of others with your voice & loudness.

Fun fact about a quirky-shaped golden object on the building:

“A gold objet d'art”, installed on top of the Asahi Beer Super Dry Hall near Azumabashi Bridge in Asakusa, Tokyo.

The name of the work is Fram d'Or (Golden Flame). The architecture and design are by French designer Philippe Starck. It is one of the few places in Japan where you can see Starck's design.

However, this fact is lesser-known even in local Japanese(Saying “Gold-po⚪or shi⚪)😅

The beer was good and the view over Asakusa was quiet astonishing.

Great spot, great beer and really good price. Food was good as well, overall really enjoyed the view while putting away a couple of beers!

Brewery is awesome and the sky room is great for a snack, beer and view. When i went the weather was clear enough to see the mountains. Beer was great, refreshing and crisp. Melon soda was good and appetizers were yummy. Its a must to get a great beer and view.

If you’re in the area, check out the rooftop bar. A great view with a great tasting beer. Perfect after a morning if sight seeing in the area.

If you are Asahi beer lover than this you need to visit. A beer with a view towards Sky Tree or Senso-ji temple on top of the HQ.
There are several restaurants but I always select the ine on the 21st floor (take the lift to 20F and additional escalators to reach this bar).

Cool place with a view! Go to the 21st floor and get the premium Asahi. While enjoying your beer, take a look at the surrounding Tokyo area - including the Tokyo skytree and the Sumida river. Well worth a visit to the top floor on a hot day! Note that you have to pay for your drink BEFORE you sit down.

I loved this place so much!
The day I went wasn't great to see city view but this is the place where you can have city view + skytree view + beer time.
