DisneySea in Japan - A Magical Journey into Fairy Tale World

DisneySea in Japan is not just an amusement park, it's a magical journey into the world of fairy tales and unforgettable adventures. My experience here felt like stepping into a vibrant, enchanting realm.

One striking aspect of DisneySea is its vastness. The park is uniquely designed with themed areas inspired by destinations worldwide, from Venice to New York, from Atlantis to Arabia. Every corner, every detail is meticulously crafted, creating a lively and captivating space.

A tip I'd like to share is about shopping at DisneySea. If you're looking to buy decorative items like hats or headbands, I recommend purchasing them before entering the park. Prices at the shops inside the park are often higher, and the selection may not be as extensive. Moreover, if you want to save time and money, avoid buying right at the entrance area and explore shops deeper inside the park where you'll find more choices at reasonable prices.

DisneySea isn't just for kids; it's a delightful destination for families and adults alike. The shows, fireworks, and entertainment options will keep you enchanted from morning till night. Don't forget to indulge in the delicious and diverse cuisine from around the world at the park's restaurants and cafes.

It was one of the greatest experiences of my life—absolutely worth visiting! Ensure you're in line before 8:30am to make the most of it. Try everything and hop on every ride; it truly is the most magical place on earth. The night view is breathtaking. If possible, consider purchasing the premium seats for the night show. To get a good spot for viewing the show at the lake, plan to secure your spot at least an hour before the 7 PM show starts. Words can't fully describe the incredible experience we had; just be sure to include this in your itinerary when visiting Japan.

Tokyo DisneySea is an enchanting experience for the whole family!

The park's unique themes and attractions captivate all ages, especially the kids.

From thrilling rides to spectacular shows, every moment is filled with magic and joy.

The attention to detail in each themed area is remarkable, making you feel like you're in a different world.

The staff's friendliness and the park's cleanliness add to the overall fantastic experience.

It's a perfect blend of adventure and wonder - a must-visit for any family looking for a memorable day out. Truly a 5-star destination!

Oh boy, what can I say about Tokyo DisneySea that hasn't been said. I wouldn't consider myself a huge Disney fan by any means, but I think that's why it's easier to enjoy DisneySea. The park doesn't constantly throw Disney reference at you! You get to experience how amazing the immersion of Disney does without the random reference to throw you off. I went here with my significant other plus two friends, and we had a great time. The park does have an app that allows for fast tracking your way to certain rides, but on the day that I went, we actually didn't have to wait that long for any rides. The food was delicious. We had gotten food at two restaurants and hit up many snacks stands for popcorn and churros. I would recommend the curry and garlic shrimp flavor popcorn for savory lovers out there! They have many gift shops with tons of unique designs and merchandise to buy. It's currently the 40-year anniversary, so they have a ton of items revolving around that. There's loads of things to do, we came to the park almost when they opened and left after the fireworks and still didn't see the entire park! The entire park wasn't crowded until the end when we started to buy merchandise. I would recommend going earlier for those if you want to grab things because it'll be like sardines in a can in every shop! The shows and attractions are spoken in Japanese, but they do have a few lore and story bits written in English sprinkled throughout the park. Overall amazing experience, and I would definitely go again.

Great theme park to visit while in Japan. Though the place is very crowded due to how popular Disney parks are, it's still a great place to visit. Definitely the most happiest place on earth, just like their motto suggests. The queues on the lines take too long, though on many of the rides, so it is better to be prepared, bring power banks cause there's hardly any power outlet to be found on the park.

Very clean and beautiful park. The lines to the rides can get pretty long, but that's to be expected. The rides themselves are much shorter than in US, but are still very fun.
My favorite place was the mermaid cove! It's absolutely beautiful and makes you feel like you're in an underwater palace. All the rides there are for very small children, but the adults can enjoy the peaceful ambiance while the kids can run around and play.
The whole park is a wonderful place to walk around and my family truly enjoyed spending the day here.

It's a great place for enjoyment and to bring back the kids in you. Before visiting, get a good idea about the place and rides so that you can move fast and cover most places. You can download the official app, which will help you move around easily. Try to arrive early, before the gate opens. We visited on Monday, and even then, we had to wait 80 to 140 minutes to enter each ride. If you can purchase the premier access pass or fast pass, then you can access the rides pretty quickly, but it's expensive. Don't forget to enjoy the evening light show and fireworks.

Tokyo disneysea is truly a masterpiece of theme park design! A magical journey unlike any other. Stunning visuals , broadway-style shows and more. No wonder that this theme park ranks among the top theme parks in the world. We will probably come back again anytime soon.

An experience you should not miss when you're in Japan. We went on a weekday but queues were insane, around 1-2 hours waiting time. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our Disney day. Truly magical.

First time ever here! Disney sea really is such a unique experience. We have only ever visited Disneyland in America and they truly out do themselves here. I recommend getting there early and getting fast passes for rides you want to see. We really enjoyed Journey to the Center of the Earth. The snacks are fun and are based on the different areas of the park. They have different themed popcorn as well— we loved the soy sauce and butter popcorn. The process of getting into Disney sea was great. Just a heads up if you take transit in they have a Disney resort line you will be taking to get to the park and they take transport cards such as Suica. Wait times can be long but worth it so wear comfy shoes! It was our first experience and we really enjoyed it!

We visited DisneySea at the end of September. It was a very hot day but we had the time of our lives! Such an amazing park. We did use Premier Access for most attractions in both parks though. We also had early access to the parks because we were staying in the Disneyland Hotel. This helped a lot with the waiting times.

A Disney park that has the main theme of a volcano and sea. Churro and pop corn has different ingredient depends on it's location. The waiting time is for rides and attraction is quite long (fast past is reccommend).

Absolutely magical!!! Visited in June 23 and we cannot wait to visit again in 2024! Happy entry was really useful (complimentary with hotel stay at the Disney hotels). We stayed a night at Mira Costa and had an awesome view of the Piazza! With that, we managed to enjoy the night show and even got to see the full dress rehearsal of their day show (without squeezing with crowds or pay for premier pass). The best ride (imo) is the Journey to the Centre of the Earth! Kids loved the Toy Story Mania too. Advisable to purchase Premier pass to skip the long queue.

Disney Sea is a fun and great addition to the Disney experience. I have only ever been to Disney and California Adventures and found the Tokyo parks well worth the visit. There are the typical waits that you find at any park, but by using the app, you can obtain some express passes to shorten the wait. I also did not see the wider variety of souvenirs, but the selection is good. There are plenty of good food places but some places may have a long line, so be prepared.

Really fun! The price for entry is so much better and affordable compared to California and Florida's Disney parks. It was really crowded because we came during a holiday but that was our bad. The food stands around are delicious but there was a downpour so a lot of places closed up during that time.
Ride lines took 2-3hours at some point depending on what time it was. I tried to buy fast passes but they were all sold out. It was an on the whim type of trip so we did not do any research or prepare for this. I would love to come back in the future and have a full itinerary available. I'm sure that would make navigating through the park easier.

Having been to all the Disney parks, this one is undoubtedly the most unique and visually stunning of them all! Sindbad is unquestionably the most infectiously adorable ride in any park, and the short lines allow me to ride again and again. Single-rider is a great option for avoiding the long queues for the other attractions.

It is also ground zero for all things Duffy & friends. It is the only place to purchase such merchandise in Japan, and the selection is always top notch.

I keep coming back year after year, but it always feels fresh and exciting. The Teddy Roosevelt Lounge offers a great respite from the madness, and reservations are usually available at 9 am on the morning of your visit.

The rides at Tokyo Disney Sea are on a whole other level. They are not only fun and thrilling but tell a story so beautifully. The areas where you are waiting in line have an insane amount of detail and thought to them. It makes the long wait times not as bad. I did go on a weekday off season (spring) and the wait times were about 15 minutes to 1 hour per ride. We did use the app to keep track of wait times too and it really helped. The interactive photos/videos and projections before the rides were so magical.

We also visited when it was their 40th anniversary so they had a nice show. Their fireworks/light show at the end was also a must see. We bought tickets to be able to sit closer to the front as well which I think was worth it.

This is the most beautiful theme park I see in the world! It was incredible immersive! The structures of the rides are so good hidden that it seams real of you walking around. I will come back!

The Tower of Terror version is better as the original one! The story ist a little bit scarier but Comprehensible as the other. I love it.

Journey to the Center of the earth is beautiful and thrilling. And the design of soarin ist very incredible!

Lots of things to do and definitely one of a kind Disney experience. It’s the only Disney Sea in the world, as I’ve recalled.

Went on a Thursday the 2nd time. Compared to my first time which was the August long holiday, it wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be.

Get there early as there were only a few queues in the morning.

Make sure to download their app to check the attractions, wait times and register for the shows. If you’re not chosen for a show, I think you can still go for the non-lottery show but only on the first show, which is usually in the mornings.

We didn’t really plan ahead and just enjoyed whatever attraction we like at the moment. We still enjoyed and even rode twice on one attraction.

People like to dress up so maybe it would be nice if you do. There are shops and stalls for souvenirs, make sure to check them out. Some are only available in certain areas.

The fireworks could be cancelled, we weren’t able to see it because of weather conditions. They will announce it so make sure to listen.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets in advance. Better to be there when the gate opens to fully enjoy the whole day.

And make sure to have fun!! And of course prepare your heart for roller coaster and extreme rides and your wallet for souvenirs and gift items!

Go as early as possible. The park's official hours is 9am to 9pm, but the crowd gathers since 7.30 am to go through the security checks and sometimes the park opens as early as 8am. Soaring Fantastic Flight is the premier ride for everyone. Queue up to this right away if not, buy the fast pass.
