Pictures taken at different time of the day. A must visit esp for first time visitors. We come here everytime and still find it fascinating. Don't miss all the side streets and back alley from the temple.

A must visit attraction in Tokyo. Before praying, you must clean your hand, mouth and clean back the water handler. Recommended to visit at early hours as crowded after 9am. Many survenior shops before entering the temple.

I love the culture of Japan! The quality of life is unique and the History is refreshing. I always recommend coming here with family. Make sure to prioritize your visit and have a good photo, souvenirs and charms! Some accept card and some don't but not fret you'll have plenty of card friendly merchants

While this is jam packed throughout the day and night, I made a point to go for sunrise. Even at 6am there were a handful of other photographers but it was much easier to capture the shots I wanted of this beautiful place arriving first thing in the morning.

Kaminarimon Gate is kind of the first stops towards visiting the Senso Ji shrine. It's worth the visit and a great place to take pictures anytime of the day.

The bustling and vibrant market flanking the narrow street towards the Senso Ji Shrine is worth exploring for souvenir's and artefacts to take back home.

Visiting the Kaminarimon gate in Asakusa, Tokyo, even on a rainy day, was a delightful experience. The grandeur of the gate, the vibrant red color, and the bustling atmosphere around it all added to the charm of the place. Despite the rain, the beauty of the gate and the surrounding area shone through.

One of the highlights of the visit was encountering the talented street artists near the gate. Their captivating art added a unique and creative touch to the already picturesque surroundings. Be sure to capture some personal art photos while you're there; the creativity and skill of these artists are truly amazing.

Overall, a visit to the Kaminarimon gate is a must when in Asakusa. Whether rain or shine, the gate and its surroundings offer a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Japan and provide a memorable experience for visitors.

One of my favorite places, you can try different typical sweets and food. You can buy wonderful Japanese souvenirs and spend the whole day on that neighborhood

Kaminarimon! Check! ✅ It leads straight to Sensoji Temple. Trying out the temple's famous bell-shaped senbei rice crackers. And guess what I got? A fortune slip! 🥲 Lighting incense, offering prayers, hoping for good luck to come swiftly.

The entry way to the senso ji temple. It’s the beginning to a big shopping street for tourists where you can buy souvenirs and get some really tasty treats. I had some of the best Mochi on this street.

This city centre shrine is well worth it. Even when busy, it is big enough to still appreciate it, but come early morning if you prefer the quiet. Not just the main buildings, but the surrounding shrines and gardens are a highlight.

A cute little strip of shops leading up to the temple. A good variety of stores offering snacks, trinkets, charms and lots of souvenirs. Make sure you visit the plush toy lottery store for your chance to win a variety of plush toys for 1000Y.

Very accessible intro to Japan! We visited late morning on a Wednesday and it was quite busy. We were still able to easily to view and do everything and I loved every second! There are less busy shopping areas nearby and we found lots of delicious inexpensive food.

Try to go a little later after the sunset , start from the main door and move slowly in, when you are at the main temple , you will see a lot of street food vendor selling delicious Japanese street food , and when you are on your way back take your time to visit some of the craft shop at your both side , wonderful craftsmanship I say . Tip of the day : relax , take your time and you will see what other don't see 😉

This is the most iconic view of Tokyo. I would argue even more so than Tokyo tower, sky tree, or senso-ji itself. From the picture, you’d probably wouldn’t grasp the size of this monstrous thunder lantern. Walking below it, you’d see the beautiful dragon carved in the bottom. Apparently the current gate is rebuilt and donated by the founder of Panasonic.

The place was a must-see. You could rent a kimono and wear it out a whole day to visit the temple. There are plenty of street vendors so you are kept entertained before making your way to the worshipping place.
