Serves craft beers, sake and other alcoholic beverages of Nagano. Great dining value. Signals a new generation of business entrepreneurs, yet still historically connected to the past.

Really beautifully decorated interior. The chef came over to our table to ask our food preferences since he noticed we had ordered vegetarian. The food was beautifully presented. Tons of drink options.

What a nice find! Pretty much in the middle of the little town. As vegan, the owner told us what he could do for us. We took marinated veggies and it was real good. Really friendly and great. They do sell meat tough

Really lovely staff and great drinks (had some lovely local beers and sake). We had an appetizer with our drinks and it was a fantastic combo of smoked pickles and gorgonzola - perfectly balanced! We'll be back for dinner!

Edit: We came back for dinner and HAKKO didn't disappoint! We had a lovely evening with great beers and umeshu and the food was excellent. All the dishes we ordered were creative and packed with flavour. The service was great too, lovely staff! Couldn't recommend it more.

Good presentations for both food and atmosphere...good services...nice after-meal dessert and coffee. It was in a snow storm and very chilly day...I do recommend this small restaurant for friends...

Probably the best veggie option in town! Totally recommended because of the quality of the food and especially the staff. Among the most frienfly met in our little Japan tour. And for meat eaters you shouldn't be disappointed either. Great stuff guys, keep it up strong and healthy =)))

Not your usual Japanese restaurant as the food here is a mix of fusion and western. It has a nice interior and the service is excellent like most Japanese places you go. The food here is excellent. If you're in the area, it's a must try.

Great beer bar & restaurant, just 5 minutes walk from Yudanaka train station. Food is tasty, have many craft beer including Shigakogen, and price is reasonable. Accept credit card.
"Hakko" means fermentation; they use various of fermented food and good for health as well.

This place stands out here in the village of Yamanouchi, but would do it anywhere else, too. Loved the way they appreciate local ingredients, cook it spot on and yet put their own twist to it. The selection of beer and sake is great, plus we got to taste some specialties of the day. To the guy with the hat I want to give two thumbs up!

Very unique selection of Japanese food including delicious chicken, pork, and beef dishes. Wide variety of tasty local beer and an intimate, cozy place to relax. Very friendly staff as well!!

Unbelievably good food. Daily lunch specials are reasonably priced, decent selection of beers, and everything is superbly plated and cooked considering the price. If you're looking for a quick meal I can't recommend this place enough.

Amazing service and incredible food! Went on Christmas and had the Christmas special roast beef dinner and it was delicious. My vegan friend had an really yummy looking tofu-mushroom dish and said it was incredible. The staff is so friendly and kind, they even allowed my friend to charge their phone during the snow storm. Highly recommend this great restaurant!

Great place, amazing menu and incredible beer selection. The staff is awesome and the restaurant itself is trendy looking and cozy. Only downside is the fact that pretty much everything we ordered came with no side/veggies. You should order a salad or rice with the meat dishes or it gets a bit heavy...

Hakko has phenomenal food and is a great experience! There was such a variety of food and everything was delivered so quickly! If you are going to be in the area it's definitely worth coming!

Amazing!! Food was really really good (lots of vegetarian options). Apple ginger sour was tasty as were the local and import ciders/beers. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good quality. Close to Yudanaka Station.
