Minshuku Narusawa Lodge

Very nice place to stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner is great. He offers a free Service to Pick you and your luggage up at the Station as Well as a Tour to a local onsen every evening.

Great for bikepacking. One of my favourite places I’ve stayed whilst travelling round Japan.

Yugi is the best. He is really relaxed but he cares about his guests and bends over backwards to help them and make their stay comfortable. He offers free runs into town to restaurants, the grocery store or train station. It was set up by his grandmother and you can really feel you’re in a family run establishment, with homemade touches.

Some people have complained saying it needs modernising and that it has insects in it but it’s a traditional Japanese inn in the countryside if you want modern go to a capsule hotel in Shinjuku.

Yuji was a great host. We called as soon as we arrived at the train station and he was here to pick us up in 5 minutes. At 8pm, there's a free shuttle to the onsen and a shuttle back at 9:15pm. Plenty of time to relax and even take a beer after the onsen.

I Stayed here together with friends for only one night.

The owner of the place was not there at that moment because of some family reasons. We did not feel less welcome though. He left a note with his estimated time he would be back and to make ourselves at home.

After we installed ourselves we went into town to see the shrines and temples of Nikko.

When we got back, the owner gave us a tour of the Lodge. In the evening we had drinks with the owner as well, and he shared some stories about the area and gave tips for the continuation of our journey as well.

The next morning he took the time to drop us off at the train station so that we didn't have to walk all the way to the centre of the city.

I would recommend the Narusawa Lodge to everyone, especially for the friendly owner and good service we got here!

Awesome place to stay. The owner was extremely friendly, he even picked us up and dropped us off from the train station. We had the big room in the lodge. It had 4 bunk beds, and it's own private bathroom complete with onsen!! I would HIGHLY recommend this lodge when visiting Nikko.

Yuji is such an amazing host!!!!! This place is about a 15 min walk from the station. Japanese style ryokan house perfectly clean and cosy. Yuji generally picks you up from the station and drops too. Loved the hospitality

Perfect host, the best we had so far. Yuji took care of us, he was available every time we needed him and was very friendly. We spent two good nights at his guesthouse. Thanks!

Great minshuku, Yuji is a fantastic host. He runs a shuttle to the local Onsen every night at 8pm if you're interested.

Yuji the owner is very warm and welcoming. His English is very good. The rooms are traditional. Lots of facilities and great location.

Cozy lodge with traditional rooms and very nice owner - helpfull and friendly.

Traditionelle Atmosphäre, gute Preise und ein super Service! Der Besitzer Yuji ist ein klasse Typ und kann sehr gut Englisch. Er bringt euch kostenlos zu einem Onsen, hier müsst ihr nur noch das Eintrittsgeld bezahlen. Tee, Kaffee und Wasser sind kostenlos, Geräte zum Essen zubereiten stehen zur Verfügung. Yuji gibt euch eine Karte der Gegend und erklärt Das wichtigste und gibt tolle Tipps. Das Hotel ist etwas weiter vom Bahnhof entfernt, trotz der 20 Min Fußweg und schwerem Gepäck war das aber kein Problem für uns. Dafür gibt's dann auch eine tolle Aussicht. Später haben wir erfahren, dass Yuji seine Gäste auch kostenlos abholt, setzt euch also einfach vorher mit ihm in Kontakt wenn ihr Fußlahm seid. Die Zimmer sind im traditionellen Stil, wer also Boxspringbetten erwartet oder akustische Abschottung von der Außenwelt ist hier falsch. Wer jedoch eine tolle Erfahrung machen will sollte hier einchecken. Mindestens 2 Tage sind gut investierte Zeit in Nikko

Yugi was very welcoming. He offers rides to the bus station and a local onsen for free in certain hours. There is a very confortable dining room with all the utilities. Domo arigato Gozaimasu Yugi!

Yugi est très accueillant. Il nous a offert de nous transporter à la station d'autobus et à un onsen local gratuitement à certaines heures. Il y a une salle à dîner très confortable avec tout ce qu'on a besoin pour manger. Domo arigato Gozaimasu Yugi!

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Die Unterkunft ist im japanischen Stil, gepflegt, sauber in schöner Lage und zu top Preisen. Der Eigentümer ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und spricht sehr gut Englisch. Bei vorheriger Absprache ist ein kostenloser Transfer vom und zum Bahnhof möglich. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, Tipps und eine Karte der Stadt bekommt ihr vom Eigentümer. Das angebotene Frühstück ist preislich in Ordnung und sehr gut.

雨の日光でした。3代　7人でおせわになりました。多分一番広い1階の部屋で広い専用家族風呂と広い洗面所、洗濯機、ドライヤーが　離れみたいに有りました。そば祭りに行きたいから食事無しでよくて　比較的駅に近く　持ち込めて　なんて考えで探しお願いしました。
オーナーもとても話しを聞いてくださいました。食堂のような所では、火は使えないけどプレート　電子レンジ
トースター　コーヒー　お茶　紅茶
カップやお皿、箸、やスプーンなど使えます。なので部屋でゆっくり楽しめました。　外国の方もいて　中学の子達がいたので　この子の英語の先生をと　オーストラリアのご家族とも　ゆっくり楽しんでみたり　また行きたいです。
