J's International School

Our family enrolled our 2.5 year old at J's International School for one month during the 2023 school year. Firstly, I can't say enough about the staff and school. The school is incredibly cozy and charming, and the staff are all wonderful, warm and welcoming. Our son loved going to J's and was excited for school every morning, including on weekends when we'd have to break the bad news to him that it wasn't a school day. Secondly, I have to commend the administration on their flexibility and accommodating attitudes. Trying to find a school in Japan is hard enough, but doing so for just a month was almost impossible given that we wanted an actual learning experience rather than just a daycare. The administrators explained that they strive really hard to offer an open door to families in a pinch like ours, which all ties back to the school's great values. Lastly, even though we were only there for a month, we were included and welcomed by the active group of parents which made a big difference for us new arrivals. Can't recommend J's enough, you won't regret sending your children here!

Truly a great preschool in Tokyo. My daughter attended J’s international school and spent wonderful 5 years with them. This school respects kid’s curiosity and right that treats children as little adults and let them explore the studies. Also, J’s provides luxurious experiences for students by bring the topics from our daily lives like when we had total lunar eclipse, children studied about universe and had a zoom meeting with a NASA engineer, and on March 11th, kids learned about the great earthquake and made lanterns with pet bottles and flashlights. Not only English they teach, but also the school grows kid’s generosity and kindness that every student has a beautiful mind that one can be happy for other as if it was her own happiness. Overall, I am very delighted that my daughter received so many opportunities that enriched her for life and found friends she really loves. Thank you so much!!

A little school with a big heart. All my kids are in this school and time is so fast that my elder son is going to graduate from this school this year! This is the perfect school for our family, not only the teachers, the students, how all families are involved, engaged with each other, and with kindness surrounded. Even on weekends, my kids want to go to school to play with their teachers and friends. It is really hard to find such a perfect school in Japan, here they teach my children how to learn with fun and curiosity. I can't imagine my life without this school!

My search for a school for our then 18 month old child came upon almost magically and unexpectedly. At that time four years ago, our family was new to Japan, we moved from the United States & we were a newly minted expat family, exploring our new home & country. My daughter went to this school for two weeks when I was in Tokyo for a short-term job. The place is very nice and safe in the sense that the school is located in the middle of a quite alley not in a busy street or so. Caregivers are very respectful and kind. I remember that they tried to do whatever I asked them to make the stay fun and enjoyable for my daughter. The managers were also nice and friendly. To sum up, a great kindergarten.

My dd went this school and loved teachers and friends sooo much!!!
We as parents love teachers and greatly appreciate their devotion to our dd and students.
