Dr.Michiko Suwa Pediatrics

Been the same doctor to my kid since birth, and she never failed. She is the best pediatrician in Tokyo and I can say that because I have tried everywhere even in Aiiku, where i gave birth to my two kids. No one can top this doctor.
Very thorough, very informative and she knows very well what she is doing.
I only have respect to this doctor.

We were on a family vacation in Japan for a couple weeks and our 1 yr old baby got sick from the inbound flight with heavy congestion and a cough. We had a difficult time finding a doctor from our hotel staff but luckily came across Dr Suwa who was able to see us within two hours. She did several tests to rule out some things and prescribed some medicine and within a couple days our baby was back to normal and we were able to continue to our next destination. Her communication skills were great and there are 3 pharmacies directly across the street that work with this location. We had a travel guard medical policy and all expenses were reimbursed without question. Thanks so much!

Always have a good and positive experience bringing my kids and family to Dr Suwa. She is very skilled, professional and kind with our family.

態度が良いわけじゃないけどすぐに終わらせてくれるのでありがたい。少し怖い部分もあるが注射もすぐに終わるので注射嫌いな人にはおすすめかもしれない。

既に成人した子が幼少期にお世話になりました。当地に住んで最初の受診時、三度目の膀胱炎と伝えたところ、「５歳でそれだと、一度精密検査したほうが良い」と専門科への紹介状を書いて下さいました。（結果は異常無し）

私だったか（当時近所に内科がなかったので、私も診ていただいたことがあった）子供だったか忘れましたが、冬に高熱を出した際、「インフルエンザ接種しましたか？」と聞かれてしてないというと「それは怠慢です」とはっきりおっしゃいました。

保険証を持参し忘れると自費を請求されますが、そこはいかにもアメリカ的（後日持参すれば、もちろん差額は返金されます）。

そういう一面から、感じが悪いと感じられる方もいらっしゃるかと思いますが、診立ては確か。子が発熱でぐったりして受診した際には、すぐに近隣大病院に連絡していただき、即入院。これが初診でしたら「どうしてここまで放っておいたんですか！」って言われそうなレベルでしたが、前日受診した続きでしたので、一日での急変にも快く適切に対処してくださいました。

バイリンガルのスワミチコ先生がいらっしゃる子供も診てもらえるクリニックです。
各種予防接種も対応してもらえてとても助かっています。クリニック自体は大きくはなく、マンションの一室のような不思議な所ですが信頼できる貴重な医院です。

非常にサバサバとした昔風の女医さんです。言葉がぞんざいなだけで悪い医師ではありません。私が見る限り非常識な親に対して、当たり前の注意を淡々としているだけに思えます。
必要以上に愛想良くするという事がないので誤解を招きやすいのかもしれません。
小児科ですが、大人も診て貰えますし、予防接種も出来ますよ。

Located in a refurbished mansion apartment => not practical layout in any area, waiting room fills up by two visiting families. During a simple school-change early-teen health checkup the examination room with the doctor, assistant, patient and father was already overcrowded. As the only English speaker and with two inexperienced receptionists doubling as medical assistants the visibly stressed doctor is constantly distracted by secondary issues and can pay only limited attention to the patient. You get the service but not feeling very comfortable - checkup certificate enough for the schools but wouldn't judge my son's health situation based on this study...

少し前に了解させていただきましたが、対応が威圧的であまりおすすめできません。
後、診察室がゴミが落ちていたりと汚く、二度と行くことはないと思います。

This doctor was rude, rigid and unprofessional. She showed no empathy towards my little daughter, and tried to prescribe a treatment before actually listening to what was wrong with her. Avoid.

Not recommended. She didn’t want to listen to what happened to the little one. And when she did the influenza check, she was not very careful and even made our two-year-old nose bleed. After nose bleed, she still rushing us to do rest check. (There’s no one waiting. )

Really worst “welcome” I have ever experienced as a doctor. Really needed to push to have a proper examination of my child... obviously not interested by clients with Japanese insurance system as not profitable enough....
