I was able to participate in the tour on the day.
I also won the last rock-paper-scissors game and was able to drink one more beer.

A small museum. You can easily do the self guided version in 20 minutes or less. The guided tour looked really fun, but it is only in Japanese. There is a little beer hall where you can get coins for $4 a piece which you can exchange for beers as well as bar snacks. I recommend this as a fun little thing to do in the afternoon.

Worth a visit for beer lover!! The museum part is compact with a good history of Yebisu Beer. Unfortunately I visited quite last and missed the tour (last one was 17:10 if I recall correctly while the place closes at 19:00), I still had a great time enjoying the beer (5 different kinds in total - I ordered the tasting set with 3 mini-pint beers and 2 more regular pints) and the gallery myself. Recommended!

Love this place! It’s not really a museum per se and more like a bar. The exhibitions was small but entertaining to read. You could finish that in 15 minutes. The highlight was the beer tasting. You purchase some coins to exchange for beer. Recommending the beer flight where you could taste three flavors. This cost 2 coins, at 400 yen each. Definitely worthy the price. The experience is worthwhile and refreshing!

Having stayed at the Westin Tokyo, it was really easy to cross the street to get to this opulent and grand brewery. But it's easy to get to the brewery from the Ebisu Station as there are moving walkways from the station leading you to the square that Yebisu Beer occupies.

The beer selection here is interesting and tasty. The interesting part of buying beers to taste is that you exchange yen for tokens in a machine, then you exchange those tokens for the various beers you're interesting in tasting.

The tasting room BTW is relaxing and located in a fairly grand hall with high ceilings. All in all a nice experience.

Recommend to everyone who liked to test some Yebisu Beer. The entrance fee is free. You just need to purchase a token [400yen] for one glass of beer. Some snack cost 1 or 2 tokens. The only downside is that they only give you 30 minutes to do the taste. English menu is available. Staff were amazingly friendly. The name Yebisu is based on the seven Lucky Gods named Ebisu.

Wonderful Museum & Great tasting beer!
The display area of this museum is actually quite small, but very interesting. Not only can you do tours and tasting sessions but you can sample every single beer and they even have food. I love the history of how the Japanese went to Germany and convinced their top brewmaster to come to Japan to make the greatest tasting beer. The beer is so creamy and it is soooooo delicious

So good. The tour is all in Japanese but still very worthwhile experience if you don't understand Japanese. Drinking beer is international with no language barriers. 😂 The tour guides are excellent. The place is so cool with big fermentation barrels. It is only 500 yen for the tour but you also get three full beer samples. I could not finish them all. 🤣 There is a nice restaurant where you can get a beer and food. Of course there is a gift shop as well. The area is nice with a few other shops and attractions. Great way to spend a couple hours.

The tour is only in Japanese, but it is still worth the visit if you dont speak the language! They have informational posts in English about the history, challenges, and victories of the Yebisu brewery. If you are staying in Ebius, there is really not a ton of night life, but this place is warm and the beer crisp. I would recommend the flight they sell for 8$ USD.

I go here every time I am in Tokyo. Sometimes I do the tour, sometimes just go straight to the gift shop and sampling bar. The sampling bar is great for nice, cold, draught Yebisu beers. Just go to the black vending machine, buy the Yebisu coins, go to the bar and order, then pay with your Yebisu coins. This time I got a sampler for 2 Yebisu coins (800 Yen). It was delicious.

Had the chance to participate in the English guided tour. The guide was full of energy (though there were only 6/18 attendees) and everyone (Above 20) got to enjoy some beer towards the end of the tour.

It's a museum for one of my favourite Japanese beers! I really enjoyed learning the history of Yebisu, for which the placards also included English.

Make sure you buy the tasting set to end the experience.

A great experience to learn more about the Japanese brewing history. Much more homely than your average amusement park experience.

I took the Japanese tour for 500 yen and it included two tastings of about eight ounces each. There are two parts to the tour, the first is going through the museum (about 20 mins) and the second part is drinking the beer with additional explanations and some PR talk. The enthusiastic brand ambassador who led the tour was cute, knowledgeable, and helped us get into the drinking mood by playing “rock, paper, scissors” with us. There’s also a cafe that serves a delicious sausage plate for 800 yen and of course more beer. Overall, a great diversion when in the Ebisu/Shibuya area.

Great experience, we lucked out by showing up on a day with an English speaking guide. Toma, our guide, was great! Very informative, funny and kind. I would take this tour again just to see her!
