This was my first time in Tokyo and I had not packed enough clothes for the entire trip.

This is the first time I am using a laundromat.

Let me explain some things that others might find useful.

The washing machine I used took 600 yen.
I could change my 1000 yen bill into 10 X 100 yen coins on a money exchange machine within the store.

It took 20 mins to wash the clothes.

Then I moved my clothes to the dryer. It takes 100 yen increments. And does 10 minutes for each 100 yen. It was recommended to run it for 30 or 40 minutes. I ran it medium heat for 40 minutes. So 400 yen.

I started folding the clothes within the store using their benches. However one of my pants which has a thick elastic was not fully dry. Also some thick socks weren’t that dry. So I ran dried it again for 10 mins at high heat.

I used to do my laundry at the tiny laundromat near this place, as I can add my own detergent. I was pleasantly surprised to find, first hand, that Ciao Mama's washing machines use unscented detergent that's included with each wash.

From now on, I'll use this laundromat that's near the hotel I stay in every time I'm in Shinagawa so I won't have to pack unscented Tide pods, again. Win!

On a side note: there's an online grocery pickup locker within the laundromat.

Easy walk from Shinagawa station. Simple, easy to use machines, even if you can’t read any Japanese texts. No need to buy detergent.

Clean. Easy access. No eng directions but fairly user friendly.

Very clean, good amount of machines, they sell bleach and softener sheets. There's also a sink to rinse your hands. Room for 4 people to sit down. Not too busy at 9am.

It's your typical coin laundry. Nothing special. It has about 20 machines. The prices is average. There's hardly ever anybody in there so you can watch laundry in peace. They don't allow it food or drinks in. Do you live in the area? Need to do a quick wash. It seems like a simple, typical place to do it. There's not really any parking around, close to the area. Maybe a few coin parkings. Parkings. So I don't suggest you drive small streets.
