I have been shopping online for high quality selvage Japanese denim for more than 15 years. Being based in the US I was nervous and reluctant to order online from places outside the US, and there were a couple of stores here in the US I would consistently order from online and occasionally visit in person. The other day there was a shirt I really wanted made by Pure Blue Japan that was not available anywhere here in the US, but Okayama had it, so I decided to order from the source, Japan, where all the quality denim originates now. And what an amazing expertise it was. Staff responded to all my questions and emails, quickly too, and the two shirts arrived today, beautifully packed, and arrived here in Florida only three days later. Faster than any order I have made from stores here in the US, although I would still be happy if it took a week to arrive, With the wide range of products on their website, there is no reason for me to shop anywhere else. Top notch customer service! My questions were answered promptly and the item arrived much more quickly than anticipated, especially for an international delivery. This is my first pair of real heavyweight denim, let alone Japanese selvedge denim, and after the initial break-in I think they are the best pair of jeans I've ever owned!

Texas guy, me, came to Tokyo to denim shop for four days. I made it a point to stop by Okayama Denim because I know they have a huge selection of great Japanese labels. These guys were super knowledgeable and super helpful Not only did I get great advice on denim but they also gave me good advice on local things to check out. A must visit shop when I come to Tokyo. Wow is all I can say. I ordered these jeans on Friday evening and they arrived with me in the UK today (Tuesday morning) and that was with them being hemmed to my length too! The jeans themselves are absolutely beautiful and I’m sure will be a fave for years to come. A nice surprise to find a pack of Halloween treats in the back pocket too. A great company to deal with and I’m sure this is the start of a long relationship.

The “Kaijin” is my first pair of Okayama Denim. The slub fabric has incredible depth, and the blue weft is beautiful.
