When u come out uniqulo is there and ameyoko shopping 🛍 road is there ( best spot to purchase new fish and everyday involving food things at a modest cost ) and one of the most incredible spots to purchase gifts for friends and family ( going back home - outsiders )

Okachimachi history can be summed up in three words: lower samurai, jewelry, and black market. These three aspects of the district refer mostly to different periods, but came together to mold Okachimachi's character.

Lower samurai: The area got its name (which only became official in 1872, and was officially discontinued in 1964) from the lower-class samurai who lived here in the Edo period of Japanese history. Not permitted to ride horses, they were known as the "o-kachi," and "machi" simply means "town."

Love this place, there's a famous soba restaurant behind uniqlo store, I took a try the huge bowl Fujisan Soba worth ¥600..it was superb and delicious. I can't say anything about that. I wish I could go to that restaurant again.

As soon as u come out uniqulo is there and ameyoko shopping 🛍 street is there ( best place to buy fresh fish and daily using food items for a cheap price ) and one of the best places to buy souvenirs for loved ones ( traveling back home - foreigners )

A nice place to visit. Near Ueno station and ameyoko. Lots of shopping departments to choose, restaurant, convenient stores and hotels.
I will recommend this place to all my friends who wants to visit Tokyo because of the accessibility and not to crowded place. I love this place so much.

nearby this station have many shops to sell local food and things. the dry lobsters from hokaido sell here are VERY CHEAP .
