It is a lovely, beautiful museum. First floor has a clothing display, the check in desk, some items to purchase, lockers, and restrooms. Upstairs on the 2nd floor is the exhibition. There are explanations of the origins of the Olympic, torch displays, and interactive activities. Additionally, good photo opps of wearing a '64 medal and posing on a podium. Doesn't take much time to get through.

We almost gave up on this museum since the website is not working. You don't need to book tickets in advance, you can get them there. The museum is great, very informative, interactive and reasonably priced. All information is provided in Japanese and English, audio guide is also available on your smartphone but it's not necessary. We highly recommend!

One of the best museums I have ever visited. I don't speak Japanese at all buy the staff was really nice explaining dynamics, prices and other stuff. One girl of the staff nicely offered to take me a picture when I was having trouble doing it by myself.

All the exhibitions are in both languages: Japanese and English, so it is really easy to understand and learn a lot!

Loved visiting this museum while wandering Tokyo. Great artifacts from the earlier and most recent Olympic games in Tokyo. They had interactive challenges and exhibits that really put the completions in perspective. The poster wall was really cool!

Unexpectedly fun and definitely worth visiting . There are a number of interactive games that you can compare your result with the Olympians e.g. Jumps, Gun Shooting, Skiing, etc.

Unfortunately when we visit, video recording was prohibited. So there is no video to show how fun the games were. Highly recommend for family with kid.

This is an Olympic museum in front of the new national stadium in Tokyo. It’s typical Olympic museum. There are some exhibitions on 2nd floor. So not such big facility. They exhibit medals, posters in Olympic history. I was touched a corner which shows all of Japanese Olympian athletes. So I learned that more than 70 years ago, an athlete was killed as military officer. I saw a uniform for Japanese team in the Tokyo Olympic. It is very interesting. Other than such just regular exhibits, they have experience section. You do a same motions as Olympic athlete do and then they show how different with you. There are some spots for that. Just small museum but really interesting and curious.
Easy to get in just by 500 yen for each. And you would finish to see all in less than 1 he. So good place to stop by on your Tokyo tour. No restaurant but looks like a small foods stand. Enjoy!!!

Happy that we visited this place. The museum is not that big but we liked the interactive activities in the 2nd floor. This is a well kept museum & very informative. We paid 500 yen per person for entrance fee.

A good experience to witness the great Olympic Games history and the highlights of all the Olympic events in Japan. It’s quite small and has a ticket price of 400¥. Online reservations are available for group visit and individuals too. On spot entry is also available.

Reservation is needed before going. They have mascot exposition in the first floor and bigger exposition with activities in the second floor. You can use around 1 hour doing it fast or around 3 hours if you like to do the activities, read the details, etc
There is toilet and elevetor, can take pictures without flash but videos are not allowed. Kids also liked.

Stumbled across this place accidentally, but I'm really glad we decided to check it out. It's a relatively small museum, but not so small that the 500¥ price felt inappropriate. There was a lot of really interesting information about the history of the Olympics, as well as some cool interactive exhibits. The highlight for me was the wall of torches which displays every Olympic torch design from 1896 until most recent.

There was also an interesting live event going on while we were there with women from the 2020 Japanese air rifle team (Olympics/Paralympics) demonstrating rifle technique and then allowing participants to try for themselves.

Overall, it's definitely worth stopping in for.

A modern museum to showcase the history of Japan’s participation in the Olympic games throughout time. Surprisingly, not as much on the 2020-2021 Olympics, and their postponement due to the pandemic, as one might expect. This sad chapter is just one of many topics which are very respectfully covered by the exhibits on display. It was well worth the visit and I would recommend to anyone who has followed and enjoyed the games over the years. For the time being to limit the number of visitors present at any one time, due to the pandemic I’m sure, online reservations are required. We had no problem finding a same-day time slot available.

It is a small exhibition but the content was very packed, informative and interesting. They have sections starting about the history and progress of the olympic movement, Japan history of involvement in the Olympic, Athlete tryout section, small theater, and olympic greatness story section. I personally the story exhibition, you can read a lot of story of athletes, mainly from Japan, how they overcome challenges or achieve the many of the first in the Games. The museum has a lot of authentic memorabilia, especially from the Japan games. I would recommended the museum for kids at least from 10 y.o above to appreciate the collections and understand the contents.
