My favorite bookstore in Tokyo. If you want to get various kinds of art or fashion books, this is the best place. They have also many English fashion magazines. All customers are stylish.
There are fewer children, so you can enjoy your time quietly. But it’s not a good place for families with small children.
There is Starbucks on the ground floor a cozy cafe, and a shared lounge upstairs.

I'm so happy to visit one of the best bookstore in the world. Everything is just perfect. The atmosphere, the crowd and located in a very nice area. Also a very wide selection including foreign books and magazine in arts and design compared to the rest of the areas in Tokyo along with some expensive and nice to look at souvenirs.

A must-visit place in Tokyo whether you like books or not. This huge complex has it all: bookstore, cafes, restaurants, small art gallery, and a fancy Family Mart. A diverse range of books, with a great selection of English books. A really accessible site, suitable for a visit with friends or family. No wonder it is voted as one of the best bookstores in the world.

It is a trendy and upscale courtyard with several restaurants, stores and a massive book store. It does deserve a visit!

Must visit place when in the Omotesando and Daikanyama area. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and chic, when we went in 2019 the crowd was mostly locals.

The Tsutaya bookstore is nice with a wide selection of books and related materials.

The coffee shop Ivy Place is a nice place to unwind and chill, have coffee and a light meal.

If you've never been here, do yourself a favour and go next time you're in Tokyo. Voted amongst the best bookstores in the world, it's absolute heaven, even if you don't read Japanese. The French bakery next door, the dogs, the fashions, the coffee, the comfy chairs and many books in English. It's definitely the place to hang out on a sunday afternoon. Check out the art section which has expanded since we visited 3 years ago.

Really beautiful with a lot of things to do. It is very crowded however and you may need to wait to get a spot to sit in. Share lounge has a space there so I would recommend you reserve a spot a day before.

This is my favorite bookshop/coffeeshop in the world! Amazing selection of books, music and other items. I love working from here with the food and coffee available, large windows and natural light for people watching as well as finding a table to spend time reading or with my laptop. Why doesn't every city have this?!

Beautiful interior and an even greater selection of books. A great hub for design and architecture books nestled in the cute neighborhood of daikanyama.

Lovely neighbourhood in general and absolutely beautiful bookstore/space. There’s Starbucks integrated within the bookstore. You can just lose yourself here the whole day.

It's fundamentally a bookshop with a coffee place in a not-so frequented area in Tokyo. You would not probably come all the way here just for this. Great mistake :) The place seems to be thought to be extremely pleasing in every way: the selection of books and music is really interesting, the decoration and distribution is made to please humans (large windows, natural light), the building is in itself interesting and most* of the people are quite goodlooking (*we were also there) ... what else can you ask for? Just spending more time there. If you've been moving from one place to another in Tokyo you wont be able to leave. Plus it is located in a seemingly wealthy residential that's interesting to perambulate.

Great building. The exhibitions (I've seen 3 in recent years) are delicate, minimalist explorations of science/art, they evoke questions rather than provide answers. Stunning.

Lovely library with great design and style: it's like a mini complex with 3 buildings connected by bridges, tons of books and magazines also in english, music and movies as well. The central building has a very nice and spacious second floor in case the first floor gets too crowded. Amazing place to spend hours to read books and have a tea 😊

One of the best spots in Tokyo to find trendy magazines and books, and discover artists through popup events and exhibitions.
There is a Starbucks and a bakery for a nice outdoor break, with chairs and table available.

The book stores with extended cultures and items. You can get relax and inspired. There are restaurants, bicycle shop, toy store in the same location and clinics for kids. The parking can be very busy.

Whatever is the reason you are in Daikanyama you must make a halt at the T-site
Incredible offer of books, magazines, music and all sorts of visual medias on subject going from cooking to travels (and so much more)
The site is smartly devided into three connected buildings of exquisite design, with in the middle the perfectly serviced lounge with delicious international food on offer or for a simple coffee ☕ break
