Toyama Park (Okubo Area)

This is a beautiful neighborhood park area in the busy Shinjuku area of Tokyo. It's an oasis of tranquility in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. There are plenty of playgrounds, courts for different sports, and greenery. It's definitely worth stopping by for a rest if you are in the neighborhood. There are toilets and places to refill your water bottle.

The best park I’ve been to so far, not so much for the park itself but for the atmosphere, come there on weekends, people play bocce, young people sing accapella, families picnic, and musicians appear here and there to please our ears

Large, scenic, dog-friendly park(leash required). I walk my dog here several times a week, both day and night. There is also a ~1.1 km walking/jogging circuit that's marked around the edges of the park(I think the 1/10 km markers are perhaps a little unevenly spaced). Many play areas for kids. Lots of trees and shade around the outside, and a big open central field in the middle. No gates, open 24 hours, though some paths may be poorly lit very late at night.

So cozy and beautiful at night. The light from the front building makes the cemented ground glowing as if it's a moonlit night.

Very nice and quiet park with many people exercising and everything in between. It is also very safe. A good place to enjoy and soak in the environment while enjoying lunch.

Super cozy, with nice flower gardens and plenty of places to sit. Locals and students from the nearby university like to hang out here, so it’s always full of life.

There are not really much chairs are place to sit on, but you still can enjoy the view

Had a walk through and it was just filled with life. Men practicing kendo, teens playing catch, toddlers with their parents running around, family having picnics.

Quiet, tranquil park in the middle of the busiest Shinjuku areas! Good for picnics, sakura blossoms or just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.

Having A Large field for doing sports such as soccer. with its dense trees, quiet and chilly atmosphere, this park is nice for refreshing your mind

A beatifull with nice short trail to have a morning run if you stay around shin okubo. After the run you can sit there watching student going to school
