Kuromon Market is a must-visit destination for any food lover visiting Osaka. During my recent trip to the city, I had the pleasure of exploring this bustling market and I was blown away by the variety and quality of the offerings.

The market is a feast for the senses, with colorful stalls teeming with fresh seafood, local produce, and delectable street food. From giant crabs to melt-in-your-mouth sushi, there is something to please every palate. It was an absolute delight to witness the skill and passion of the vendors as they prepared and presented their mouthwatering creations.

In addition to the incredible food, the market also offers a glimpse into the vibrant local culture. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere creates a lively and energetic ambiance that is infectious. It was a joy to interact with the vendors, who were more than happy to share their knowledge about the products and offer recommendations.

I highly recommend allocating ample time to explore Kuromon Market, as there is so much to see and sample. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking to indulge in a culinary adventure, this market is a true gem that should not be missed.

We had the best time exploring Kuromon Ichiba Market for its incredible food stalls and Japanese souvenirs.

We ordered an extra large shrimp and a king crab claw to dine-in at the bustling Kuromon Sanpei restaurant. You can either eat it as is or have it barbecued, and we chose the latter option.

The texture of the prawn was quite firm, but taste was pretty standard. The king crab claw, however, was very meaty and slightly salty (like the sea). Highly recommend!

We will visit any fish market in Japan. Therefore Kuromon Market in Osaka is a must visit place. Bought our King Crab here to enjoy them at home. A great shopping haven for kitchenette and souvenirs as well. Will come again.

Great place to explore and eat oden, grilled wagyu beef skewers and sashimi! Must try the 100 year old tofu stall. The sugarless hot soy milk and tofu are excellent. Best tofu ive had!

I liked this place better than Tsukiji in Tokyo. Lots of options and alot more interactive locals. Seafood was fresh, went food tripping in several stalls. Easily spend half day here, and nothing beats sake at 10am with sushi!

It’s a market that sells tuna, fruits, fresh juice, chestnut, sashimi etc. Sadly, the one halal stall that used to serve tempura is no longer there.

We found a shop that serves fresh cut fruits like watermelon, rock melon and the fruits was sweet!

It’s located towards the end of the market.

If you buy apples, you can asked the shop people to cut it for you so that you can eat it straightaway!

Market has a lot of offerings - tons of seafood and snack stalls but prices are quiteeee pricey. Tons of local mini shops selling traditional japanese homeware. Fantastic vibes!

Minus the crowd, enjoyed visiting this place. The melon cost around 250 yen, bought some fruits back too. Would also recommend the sweet potato chips that cost 500 yen, way better than I expected it to be. Overall, enjoyed the place greatly.

Kuromon Ichiba Market, also known as 黑門市場 (Kuromon Ichiba), is a renowned culinary hotspot located in the heart of Osaka, Japan. Serving as a haven for food enthusiasts, this bustling market is revered for its vibrant atmosphere, diverse offerings, and the unmistakable aroma of mouthwatering street food. Today, we journeyed through Kuromon Ichiba and experienced a culinary adventure like no other.

Upon entering the market, we were greeted by a sensory explosion of colors, sounds, and tantalizing smells. The pathways were lined with stalls offering an impressive array of fresh seafood, local produce, and delectable snacks. A seafood lover's dream, Kuromon Ichiba Market offers everything from succulent crabs, plump oysters, and shimmering sashimi to the finest cuts of Kobe beef.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the abundance of street food options to choose from. As our taste buds danced with anticipation, we meandered through the bustling lanes, each stall seemingly offering a new and exciting culinary delight. From piping hot takoyaki (octopus balls) and crispy kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) to generously stuffed okonomiyaki (savory pancakes) and freshly grilled seafood, every bite was a burst of flavor and texture.

One of our must-visit list for Osaka. Nicknamed “Osaka’s kitchen” because both local homeowners and restaurant chefs get their supplies here, the market is famous for its fresh seafood. One reason for the market’s popularity is that many stalls will prepare, cook and serve their food to you right on the spot. This makes it an excellent venue for strolling, sampling, and snacking on a delicious variety of fresh market foods.

Amazing experience. Be prepared to spend more money than you think on random foods and skewers you weren't expecting to buy.
The sushi you can get here is amazing. And the tempura is great!

Busy street food market, all the stores start to close at 4-5 pm. It just so many type of seafood you can find in there and all traitors eat. I like everything except king crab legs it’s over price and salty. Otoro and uni is my favorite and they are absolutely cheaper than eating in the states. I tried Fuku(puffer fish) sashimi. It was great experience. I like this place

If you like street foods then come here. And make sure you come hungry. There are tons of stores selling seafood, meats, and fruits. Come early or you'll have a difficult time navigating due to the crowd.
