I personally don’t get the bad reviews. I have never been medicated for my OCD and anxiety despite being diagnosed so young, so I was scared of starting so late in life but my journey has been amazing thanks to the clinic. The entire staff are extremely kind and helpful. Sure there’s been just 1-2 times the office hasn’t remembered small details like other reviews complain about, but my mental illness is getting better and my life has been changed so I can’t nitpick the service! That’s all that matters for me, and personally, I think the service is way more than fine!

Dr. Andrew always listens to my concerns and reassures me, and he even trusted my confidence in starting fluvoxamine despite thinking maybe something else would be better to try out, and he has been nothing but glad that it’s working out for me! In fact, the only reason he didn’t want me taking another medication was because he felt it was unethical to recommend something more expensive to me with similar effects even though it obviously makes him and the clinic more money he said, which made me feel confident I found the right doctor for me. The office is also always able to fit me in asap when I am not doing well or need more meds, Toshi at the front desk is especially helpful. The price here is high, but given it’s the only place I’ve found in Tokyo with english support, I can’t complain since it’s completely changed my life.

Exceeded all my expectations. I panicked after leaving my medication at home when traveling here on vacation. I was able to get an online consultation immediately and drop by the office to get a refill. It’s located right by the station and the staff and doctor are all wonderful. They turned a very stressful mistake into a quick and pleasant visit. I wish they had an office I could go to at home!

Emailed them them the patient registration form, and literally, 30 mins later a Doctor called me, and asked how they could assist me. Gave me some great advice and even gave me the name of a specialist that they recommend I see. Amazingly prompt service.

I can't say enough about the quality of the service from Dr Mikasa and his staff. We called to make an appointment and were able to see the doctor as soon as we arrived in Tokyo. There was no wait when we arrived at the clinic and the staff were knowledgeable, professional and very kind, and Dr Mikasa's english is impeccable. You're responsible for payment but I expected that anyway.
The price was reasonable and I would strongly recommd the clinic to any English speaking travellors.

The place was very easy to find. The physician and the receptionist speak fluent English I would wager their English is as good or better than mine and I'm American born and raised. They were very professional and helpful with the resolution of the problem I had. I will see them again if need arises and I recommend the American clinic Tokyo.

In terms of service, this clinic is quite The Hilton. From the moment I walked into their office, staff were incredibly professional, respectful and polite. I dealt with 4 people and all were fluent in English. Dr Mikasa is clearly well informed about both local and international remedies that work. It is not a cheap service but when I fall ill in a foreign country, I want to ensure effective treatment and this is the place to go.

My life insurer asked me to do some tests they also asked me to give some additional documents signed by the doctor. I tried several clinics some were only Japanese speaking and others were reluctant to attest. I find this clinic on internet. Mr. Toshi helped me to get the appointment and responded my mail quires at the earliest. They have well managed english speaking staff. They did all the tests in less time and whatever I asked they did their best to full fill the requirements. Dr Masaki and Dr Shibagaki are also friendly

Your English speaking medical ally in Tokyo. If you have any healthcare needs and don’t speak fluent Japanese, then this should be your first stop. Doctor Mikasa just honestly seems to care about helping people. I needed specialist care for a pretty obscure problem and he seems excited to help me find the right English speaking specialist (while other doctors I had seen basically just gave up and said they didn’t know how to help me find someone). Not only that he assured me that if this referral doesn’t work out he will keep working to get me the right care. Oh and of course his office made my next appointment for me, passed along referral information for the next doctor, and gave me advice about how to navigate the Japanese medical system.

Ok, so yes, you do pay out of pocket for all this, but it is some of the best money I have spent. Can’t recommend enough.

My boyfriend needed a vacination while he was in Japan and the American clinic were amazing. They responded quickly with an appointment time, the staff were so lovely and professional and we were seen quickly. They gave us all the relevant paperwork to take back to the UK and it cost a lot less than I thought. I can't fault them and would highly recommend this place.

After visiting Taiwan, I ended up getting really bad diarrhea, fever, and aches likely from something I ate. Once I got to Tokyo, I found the American Clinic Tokyo and decided to see if they could let me see a doctor asap. I walked in and they took me in without needing an appointment, almost barely waited 15 minutes! The staff are very professional with excellent English and Dr. Mikasa was truly very helpful, knowledgeable, kind and professional! In terms of documents for insurance, they were able to e-mail me everything I needed promptly! Highly recommend this clinic to travelers!

Went in with the intention of making an appointment, they were able to work me in that very day. The staff are all professional and friendly, and all speak professional level English so there are no concerns of the harrowing language barrier if your Japanese isnt up to the task yet. Mikasa Sensei was the doctor I personally saw and was excellent at getting to the heart of the matter and helping with my concerns. The clinic will also provide itemized receipts for those who wish to reimburse under travel insurance, and for those without insurance you're looking at around a couple hundred USD or around 20000 yen, possibly less if they can cut you a discount (not including any other kind of tests you may need run depending on your issues naturally). For anyone daunted by the task of needing a medical examination while in Japan without Japanese skill or arnt confident in their Japanese I whole heartedly recommend this place.

I'm a physician from the US that was traveling with his wife for our honeymoon, when she required treatment Dr Mikasa was excellent and was able to accommodate our schedule. He was able to dispense the medication from his clinic. Highly recommend. Great staff as well.

During vacationing in Tokyo I began dealing with some asthma and bronchitis issues. I emailed and made an appointment. The Doctors and staff were great! I was seen on time, was there no more than 30 minutes and was given medications to help me feel better and continue enjoying rest of my stay.

Walked in with no appointment on a weekday, and they were able to accommodate us almost immediately. The staff at reception, the nurse, and the doctor were very helpful. Price for the appointment and the prescription medicine, however, were very dear at an equivalent of 380 AUD—I suppose that’s how it is in time of need...

Excellent doctors and they were able to see me quickly for an ear infection. Set up an appointment with a nearby eat specialist for the next day and someone from the office accompanied me and helped with translation. Don't recommend an ear infection and burst ear drum while traveling, but this is definitely the place to come if you need to.

Dr Mikasa and his staff were friendly, thorough, competent and caring. I was feeling poorly, on my own on an extended vacation/working on a contract, and can’t speak any Japanese, so it was really great to have found this clinic.

Thank you Dr. Mikasa and wonderful Staff! I was given a same day appointment. The Dr. or nurses listen to you and answer all your questions. They don't rush you. They smile and make you feel at home. They saw me immediately upon arrival. A lot of Doctors should learn from this Clinic.

Great place, I went here in December when I got a throat infection and was treated very quickly and professionally. Dr Mikasa and the staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They gave me all the information I needed to claim on my insurance.

Went here for a covid test for my flight to the US. Booked through their Google form and got a response within a few hours.

Staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Everything was done within 25 minutes.

Thankful I found this place and would go again if I needed a covid test.

I highly recommend this clinic. All the staff are professional and friendly, even if they don't accept the Japanese insurance, they will still do their best to help in lessening your bill. Everyone speaks fluent English :)
