Sea Friend

Stayed here in March 2023 with 3 other people. Rooms have two beds and are on the smaller side. Tokashiki island is somewhat rustic, if you want the resorts go to Okuma beach or Ie island. The local population’s English will not be as good as on Okinawa. Beaches are amazing, we were able to view sea turtles while snorkeling.

Excellent, clean, convenient, very simple accommodation. The staff were super helpful during booking, especially when my ferry was cancelled, I didn’t even miss out on my dives despite arriving a day late. Food at the restaurant was so good (fresh fish everyday yum!) I spent four days diving, the guides, equipment and boats are great. The dive sites breathtaking.

The following are not complaints, but I thought would be helpful to know if planning diving, and are an English speaker:
- the guides don’t really speak English. If you need lots of instruction, need a refresher, or you’re a nervous diver and need in depth briefings, consider finding another dive centre with more English speaking guides (Seasir on Aka Island have more English speakers).
- winter diving is fine! Water is still warm (23C in Jan) but it’s chilly on the surface in between. They bring hot water on the boat to pour in your wetsuit which helps.
- BYO drinking water and snacks on the boat. But they tend to head back to HQ for surface intervals inc lunch time.
- get the pension room so have your own bathroom - super handy to pop up while in wetsuits if you need to.
- BYO dive computer. My equip had no depth gauge, but the dives are all well planned, so if don’t have your own just follow the guide.

Really enjoyed our time staying at Sea Friend in Aharen Beach. The location is amazing, just a 2-3 minute walk from the beach and you can go on snorkeling and scuba adventures with the Sea Friend staff. The rooms are modest but clean; what you should expect on a small, fairly remote island that has less that 750 people on it. The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially Yuki and Ogido. Yuki is awesome! She speaks great English and helped book us a ferry ride to Zamami Island for a day trip and dinner at Izakya Maruni, which was really great for dinner and just a 5 minute walk from Sea Friend. The breakfast Sea Friend offered every morning was good too; just what we needed to get our day started. They have a very convenient shuttle bus that will pick you up from Tokashiki Port and bring you directly to Sea Friend when you arrive and drop you off when you leave. Sea Friend is definitely the place to stay if you're interested in staying on Tokashiki, especially if you want to snorkel or scuba!

A wonderful little hotel with great service.
It’s obviously not a 5⭐ rated luxury hotel, but for what it is it gets the highest rating.
We arranged for pickup from the ferry, along with several other passengers. We were able to check-in at 10am!!! A time unheard of in Japan.
The rooms are cozy and have everything you need. 2 minute walk to the beach.
Breakfast was wonderful with a good selection of items. We also ate dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. Also very delicious and not expensive. The restaurant looks very modern and spacious.

Very convenient

They have a shuttle that will pick you up from the ferry port. The staff was friendly. It was nice to have a restaurant right across the street. There's also a rental shop for snorkel gear if you need it.

The hotel is in a grat place. Just one min walking distance to a very beautiful sandy beach 🏖

I got the Japanese style room with shared bathroom etc.
First if all, in some reviews complain about the mill and smell .
To be honest for this region close to the sea it is totally fine to have such things and without it then be sure you don't get the taste of local life. Never
For tidy luxurious hotel you should stay in Naha and not in such little islands.
You get a very good impression of the local style life as in the front door there is water to clean yourself before you get in.
The rooms are well occupied with facilities you may need and they offer free water and tea the whole day and night as you wish to use.
The bath were clean and cool. Of course not new and like five stars hotel in wall street district.
The breakfast was nice and normal but I liked it.
It had a very good view to the mountain and I enjoyed eating and watching the neighborhood.
They also offer dinner and lunch but I didn't try them.
The staff are also kind and helpful and even they were cooperative by canceling one extra night of my booking because I had to return to Naha due to weather conditions. Otherwise inhad to stay one week more.
All was a great experience and deserve five star

Very good hotel with nice staff!
Considering that this is a small island and everything has to transported here by ship this is a really nice place with all the amenities you really need:
Western style beds, a fridge, AC and TV, free WiFi and the breakfast is also included. There are rooms with a private shower (cold and hot water) and toilet if you don't like to share. There are even toothbrushes and razors for free!
I think this place is quite luxurious and very clean for the price and I recommend it to everyone who wants to stay on this tropical island paradise.

Great location. They have a free shuttle from the port. Restaurant onsite. Very good good, great prices and kind service.

I lived seafriend hotel. Their services are good. And the view of beach is awesome.

渡嘉敷島に初めて宿泊、その際利用させていただきました。とまりん港からの船にあわせて送迎があり、とても助かります。場所は阿波連ビーチの目の前という素敵な立地。スタッフの方々はとても親切・丁寧な対応で安心できます。ビーチが目の前なので日中だけでなく、朝も夜もビーチにすぐ出ることが可能なため、早朝足跡のないビーチを堪能することもできます。朝食付きプランでしたが、離島で想像以上の美味しいバイキングをいただきました。今回は一泊でしたが、次は２泊以上でのんびりしたいと思います。

Ребята , это первая линия ! Белый белый песок , лазурное море в 1 минуте от домика . Завтрак супер ! Даже манго сок есть 😁. Номер скромный , но есть все что нужно ( зеркало , кондиционер, туалет , и тд ) каждый день свежие полотенца
, очень чистенько ! Ужин тоже вкусно и много ! Автобус привез нас прямо от парома за 10 минут . В 5 мин есть другие ресторанчики и даже кафе с мороженым и панкейками , есть конбини ( 3 мин ) . Просто all inclusive place !!

初慶良間でお世話になりました。
一泊でしたが、次の日のフェリーまでのシャワーを無料で利用できました。また、帰りのフェリーに合わせて送っていただけるのも良かったです。
また、スタッフの皆さんの親切・丁寧な対応も素晴らしかったです。

ビーチで使用するシュノーケルやパラソル等のレンタルは部屋付で頼むことで、レンタル時の支払いが要りません。最後のチェックアウト時にまとめてお支払いできます！（楽天ペイ、PayPay、クレカ等対応‼）

Eine gutes Hotel mit verschiedenen Zimmer mit einfacher und mittlerer Ausstattung. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das Personal ist freundlich und alles ist sauber. Direkt am Strand mit eigener Tauchschule. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu machen.

朝食もバイキングで栄養たっぷりたくさん食べました♪♪

ファンダイビングで使いました。梅雨明けでお客さんが多い中丁寧な応対で楽しくダイビングが出来ました。また利用したいです。

La chambre était très bien le personnel de l'hôtel était très gentil. Nous avions du raccourcir notre séjour à cause d'un typhon et l'employé de l'hôtel qui parlait anglais nous a beaucoup aidé et le remboursement s'est fait rapidement. L'hôtel est situé à une minute à pied de la plage, je n'ai jamais vu un océan aussi beau la couleur bleu de l'eau était incroyable de plus il y'avait beaucoup de poissons dans l'eau. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.
