Kyle's Good Finds

Kyle’s Good Finds is a bakery institution in Tokyo. This small shop has a variety of baked good from cheese cakes, brownies, apple pie, and carrot cake. It’s worth the trip to Nakano Station and the short walk. Mr. Kyle is personable and it is easy to tell why he has been in business for so long. Highly recommended.

The best carrot cake you can find in Tokyo. He also has a good selection of pies and other treats that are hard to find in Japan. Definitely a must visit if you’re in the Nakano area.

I was really looking forward to trying Mr. Kyle’s famous carrot cake on my trip! It was so good! I wished I bought an extra. He is very friendly, please make sure you visit!!

What a lovely little store! I met Kyle and had the blueberry pie (which was great). Kyle has been in Japan for 39 years and the bakery has been there for 31 years! I was just passing through and didn’t know the place before so I had no expectation but, honestly, Kyle made my morning so much nicer 😊

Absolutely fantastic experience here! Mr. Kyle was a pleasure to meet and the pumpkin pie was delicious. What really topped off the experience for me was getting to enjoy my treat on the bench in front. Not sure how I'd top that as my first morning in Tokyo.

Delicious cheesecake and carrot cake. Tastes very different from what you usually get in Tokyo. Is this a traditional American flavor? :)

Small shop with a lot of choice and a nice atmosphere, cakes that are rare in Japan (even in Tokyo) can be found here. Cherry pie is delicious

The carrot cake, cheese cake and brownies are a definite highlight of this place. Must try if you are into cakes, but be sure to get here early because the cakes go out fast.

It’s also possible to split your whole cakes into halves, so if you want the best of both worlds I definitely recommend this.

Hands down the best carrot cake and apple pie I've ever eaten. I'm a native Pennsylvanian just like Kyle, so meeting someone with that in common who's also so nice and welcoming (and is dang good at what he does!) was a great experience.

Go visit his bakery - you won't be disappointed. And if you can't, he does offer deliveries across Japan. It's worth it.

Kyle was an absolute sweetheart. The pies were absolutely mouthwatering and we sat in for extended pie time.

The cheesecake- best cheesecake I’ve put inside of my mouth. It’s definitely heavy but in the best way. You feel full afterwards and it gives a complex flavor like I’ve never tasted from cheesecake. Mouthfeel on fleek.

The best brownies in town, hands down. You should also try the cheesecake. And since you are there, buy a piece of carrot cake, pecan pie, banana bread. There is actually nothing that is not worth trying.
Kyle is the same as he used to be 20 years ago. Underspoken, gentle, he prepares and bakes everything himself.
Call him beforehand and make sure he's got what you need.

I got a batch of chocolate chip cookies and a batch of peanut butter cookies. Really good. I'm from Massachusetts the home of the chocolate chip cookie and after fifteen years in Japan these are the best. The peanut butter cookies taste just like my grandmother and mother used to make. They are bite size cookies which make them great for gifts. I can't wait to try all of Kyles Good Finds!

Really great bakery that’s full of American home-styled sweets for everyone to enjoy! I tried out the carrot cake for the first time, and it was very good! The owner is very friendly too! I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a good ol' slice of America while feeling right at home in Japan!

Had a wonderful experience! We got the banana bread, ginger bread, and brownie. They are all so good! Mr. Kyle was amazing, just wish we could have stayed and chatted all day!

I was looking all over Tokyo for some good ol' American cherry pie & found it at Kyle's Good Finds!! The carrot cake & brownies looked awesome as well, can't wait to try them all out!

Top notch homemade baked goods. The carrot cake is fabulous. The owner is also very nice and talkative which reminds me of good customer service back home. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I haven’t gone to Japan just yet but as soon as I found out about this place and read the reviews it’s going to be one of my first stops. Looking forward to delicious pastries!
