They bake fresh bread and mainly serve bread and butter and some sandwiches. Their flour comes from different countries so you can choose your option. You also choose your own toaster to toast your bread. Such a cool concept. Super delicious. The French toast was also amazing! I thought it's going to be soggy because it's thick but omg what a delight. The lineup is huge ...expect around 30 min to an hour wait. They have takeout as well.

I absolutely love love love love this place. I wish they had one here where I live.
But please!!! Look at the prices, before you order!!!
I just went with the recommendations and ordered the most expensive menu, without noticing it.
Hahahahaha I paid more than in any Omakase place, for 2 sandwiches 🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀🥹🐷
But it was totally worth it.
I’m not sure if I could do it again, but if you’re willing to try, I definitely recommend it !!!
Also, interior is fabulous. Fritz Hansen all over the place🥰🫠🥹

Omg it is not just bread. We came at about 3:30pm and most of the loaf bread options were sold out. We had the Fresh Toast with whipped cream omg this was sooooo gooooooood! Soft yet buttery and something about Japanese whipped cream that taste 10 times better than others. Tonkatsu and Club Sandwiches are okay, meats are juicy but not nothing very wowing. Iced Cafe au lait was smooth.

Very relaxing bakery. Pricey but if you are a fan of bread, do try it out and come earlier to try the JP loaf.

There’s selection of bread you can choose and you can bring the toaster to toast at your table
The French Toast is very soft and fluffy while the portion is very big so you may share the dish
The drink price is quite high.

Incredibly fresh and soft milk bread. The concept is that you are able to select your own toaster from their toaster display!

I visited this place years ago, and the bread here is exceptionally fine. They offer a unique experience by allowing you to choose your toaster and providing a selection of 10 styles of jam and 3 types of butter from various regions across the world. The bread itself also hails from different regions worldwide. While these offerings have become somewhat common in society lately, this visit managed to evoke memories from my last trip here, and it remains impressive.

Such good fun. We got the toast set and the french toast with whipped cream. Both were absolutely delicious. Getting to choose your own toaster and toast the amazing bread was a real highlight.

Can get busy so get there early to avoid long queues / disappointment. They also stop serving the bigger menu at busier times (in between 10:30 and 11:30 I think), so get there at 10 if you want some more options.

Awesome bread (prefer the Japanese version) at Centre the Bakery Ginza. You can choose your toaster for your normal toast bread. But the MUST HAVE is the French Toast. It’s out of this world…

Highly recommend getting the bread butter and jam set! Would come back just for this— it comes with your choice of bread from three countries, three different butters and 5 different jams. The raspberry and orange jam was amazing and I loved the Japanese bread (not toasted).

Also got wagyu Sando which was delicious but personally feel like it’s a bit pricy for what it is, and same for the fruit sando. However, both tasted great.

Came here for tea time. Had a very pleasant experience here. Staff is friendly and patient to explain how it goes around here in the cafe. We get to choose our “personal” toaster to toast our own bread, choose our jam spread. The kids had a fun different experience by seeing the bread pops out of the toaster. Reli recommened to come by if you’re around the area or finish shopping nearby Ginza

It’s a really good sandwich cafe near Yurakucho station in Ginza area. This place is specialized in sandwiches and that’s all they got. I got teriyaki chicken sandwich and club house sandwich. Both tasted amazing. I even order BLT sandwiches to take it home. The place is kinda small and not good for big group and they often have waiting line.

Never much of a sweet-tooth, but this restaurant pulled me in to try their strawberry sandwich. The restaurant is around 5 minutes walk from Yurakucho JR Station. This bakery is spacious with around 20 tables, but I still need to queue for 40 minutes. There is a time limit of 90 minutes when you are dining here.

The strawberry sandwich (¥ 2,500) was well-balanced. The bread, strawberry and creams blended harmoniously to create the perfect strawberry sandwich. The strawberry was sweet and sour, and brought a freshness to the dish. The creams didn’t overwhelmed the flavor of the strawberry. The bread was fluffy enough to hold the sandwich together without changing the texture of the dish.

If you ever want to eat a strawberry sandwich, highly recommend to try this extraordinary sandwich.

The sandwich tasted good. Unexpectedly that not too many tourists during my visit. Good place for a break at Ginza. There was quite a long queue after our dining.

Amazing! This is a must try in Tokyo. The bread is sooooo fluffy and airy. I love the concept of toasting your own bread and choosing the condiments. Everything we ordered was great except for the cheese it was quite pungent.

Great tasting loaves to start off the morning! Sandwich menus only available after 11am as they only serve toasts in the morning session (it was fun toasting bread with the toaster on your table and trying the different types of butter and jams available). After 11, try the delicious and juice sandwiches!

There are two types of people in this world. One that loves the the Centre Bakery, another that doesn’t know they love the Centre Bakery yet, imho.

When you approach the bakery, expect to see two long lines, the left one is for those who wish to dine in, and the right one for those who wish to by white breads to go. And if you wish to dine in, they won’t let you in unless everyone is present.

They have the best white bread and the best sandwich. I recommend the egg sandwich, the French toast, and the strawberry whipped cream sandwich. Everything on the menu is awesome.

BEST bakery-restaurant ever. They have mastered the art of making “shoku-pan”, essentially bread that goes with the main dish. There are three different types of toast they focus on, each has its own distinctive flavour and texture. The butter and jam set menu is enough to make an adult happy and want for more. Great interior and very thorough explanation of their service too. There’s not enough words to describe how awesome this simple yet fantastic place is. The only thing to watch out is that there’s always a lineup in the morning so be sure to allocate enough time to come here. I’d give it a 6 stars if Google allowed me!

Strange concept where you can pick your own toaster and make toast at your table.... But we tried the French toast instead. It was very well made and quite savoury. But the cream and maple syrup balance it out well. Very well presented, and professional staff, spoke English and provided an English menu.

Central the Bakery has two shops, the bakery that specialices on Shokupan, which is a Japanese version of soft bread and it’s cafe.

The bakery cells three versions of this Shokupan, the difference being the source of the Wheat, there’s American, Usual and Japanese wheat. Each bread is delicious in its own right, and has a serving suggestion (toasted or not) written—Japanese style. Each is good in its own way.

The cafe basically sells different food made out of the Shokupan. You can buy just usual toast, different types of sandwhich we and sweet bread versions like sugar toast, Cinamon toast etc. cutely they also give you the opportunity to experience toasting bread yourself by having multiple toasters you can borrow. I preferred however to have my toast toasted by them. My suggestion is to try their Rubben and Cinnamon Toast (not toasted), it’s really heavenly.

Basically as far as I am concerned this is one of the best Shokupan I’ve ever had in my life, and anything made out of it is great. If you are confused which bread to buy to take home you can try the toast in the cafe where you can taste multiple bread at the same time.

The downside is:
1. The bread is very easily sold out. On a weekend do not come close to closing time
2. The price is very high. But if you are a bread or Shokupan lover, it’s well worth it.
