Roman Colonnaded Street

Suggestiva via lastricata e colonnata che si trova tra il teatro romano e l'antistante Hashemite Plaza. Parte dalla trafficatissima Al-Hashemi St. e ci porta in breve nei pressi del teatro. Turisti e cittadini del posto qui si confondono e diventano un unico gruppo di persone che si godono il momento di relativa tranquillità tra le belle testimonianze romane di questa zona. Da vedere.

A Római Színház előtt található, és a legjobban az Ammani Citadella bejáratától látható. Egyes oszlopok magasabbak, mint a többi, az elmúlt több, mint 1000 év, különbözőképpen sérültek, szenvedtek el károsodást.
Úgy tűnik, ezek az oszlopok a színház előtti tetőt támasztották alá, amely fedett menedékként szolgált a színház látogatói számára. A tető az idő múlásával megsérült, és ami megmaradt, azok különböző magasságú oszlopok, de minden bizonnyal ezek tükrözik a római kori építmények nagyszerűségét és időállóságát.

Located in front of Roman Theater, it is best viewed from view point near Amman Citadel entrance. Some columns are higher than others due to degree of damage they suffered during last 1000+ years.
It appears that these columns supported roof just in front of theater that acted as covered shelter fir visitors to the Theater. The roof got damaged with passage of time and whatever is left are columns of various heights but surely those do reflect the grandeur enjoyed by these structures during Roman period.
